Jason's pov
The sun wakes me up the next day. I smile and pull my pregnant wife closer. "Mm... Hey sexy." She whispers, kissing my cheek. "Hey gorgeous." I say. She sits up and stretches. "How long is it now?" I ask closing my eyes. "You impatient or something?" "More like excited. I can't wait to start a family with you." She smiles. "Yeah. I'll teach him or her all about pranking." My eyes go wide. "You-" She cuts me off with a kiss. "And we've got four more months." "Ugh. The wait is killing me." She crawls into my lap as we make out. I slide my hands up her shirt, they move and curve around her stomach. She's carrying my baby. My baby. My best friend is carrying my baby. "Baby I love you." I whisper, kissing her harder. "I'm so glad we're gonna have a baby. You're the best thing to ever fly by on a skateboard." She whispers, catching me by surprise. "I can tell ya one thing. You were way better on a skateboard than I ever was." I say. "You'll always be my number one!"
*a few months later*
"JASON!" "Coming honey!" I call. I race upstairs. "What's up, baby?" "I've got to go to the bathroom." I help her up. "Thanks." "No problem." I sit on the bed while she goes to the bathroom. She sure hates to be bedridden which is what the doctor said would be best for the baby. She walks back out, stretching. "So are you gonna build him a treehouse like ya promised?" I smile as she sits beside me and lays her head on my shoulder. "I'm thinking wait til he's old enough and let him help me build it. A little father son bonding time." "Aww you're such a great daddy." I smile and kiss her. "Can you run and get me a few loaded chili dogs from sonic? You'll be the best hubby too if ya do!" I smile. "Baby you don't have to beg. I'll get it for ya." "You're the bestest." She says, kissing me. "No you are." I say. I head to sonic and I sit at the picnic tables while I wait. "Hey Dada, can I get a milkshake?" A little three year old boy asks. I smile seeing a couple with a little boy. They sit at the picnic table near mine. "Cute kid ya got there." I say. "Thanks. His name's Peter." The dad says. "Wow. My wife's pregnant with a boy and we're namin' him David Peter. What a coincidence." "Oh. Congrats." He says. The wife gets back from ordering. "She's got a craving for Sonic's chili dogs hence the only reason I'm out here." He laughs. "Cravings. Man my wife Sarah. Her cravings were through the roof. "Wow. I almost didn't recognize you!" Sarah says. Um... "Do I.." "No. I'm a fan of your music, Mr. Aldean." "Oh. Thanks, ma'am." I get my order and take it home to Miranda. "Oh yay!!! This is why I love you!!" I laugh. "Cause I got ya chili dogs." "Mark never did this stuff for me." My eyes go wide. "Wait... What?" "Oh.... I didn't mean to let that slip." She mumbles covering her eyes. "Um.... Did.... You and Mark... Did... He get you pregnant?" She sighs. "Yeah. But... I had a miscarriage two months in." "Jeez. I never expected this." "You're not mad?" "Course not... Just sucks ya had to go through it." "Well it doesn't matter now. I'm so glad to be here with you." She says, setting the food down. "Come here." I sit beside her. She cuddles against my side. I wrap my arms around her. "I love you, Jason." She whispers, her face buried in my side, her words muffled but I still know what she said. "I'll always love you, Miranda." I whisper.
