Ending it here

Fated Wonders was the first series I ever made. I once made a Warriors fanfic, but there were sooo many problems with it, so I scrapped it. I liked FW in the beginning. It was a whole world at my disposal that I could do whatever with, and I was not an experienced writer (and I'll never par to people like Harper Lee or Christopher Paolini). Still, writing was just something for me to write down whatever was going on in my head that I wanted to display on something solid.

However, I lost the spark for FW in Warrior, which was the final book of the series; I just couldn't go on. It was cringe-worthy, characters were either too OP or too weak, the world lacked lore, there wasn't much backstory on the land, et cetera, et cetera. It overall wasn't a thought-out series. Far from it; it was literally whatever came to mind at that moment or if I thought of something before.

But, I don't want to leave a cliffhanger for anyone who actually LIKES the series for some reason. Instead, I'm just gonna sum it up from where we left off on Chapter 8 and give some background information in certain characters. As someone who doesn't enjoy cliffhangers, I'll try to keep it within a few paragraphs but keep detail.

In chapter nine, the scene switches to Des and Six, planning an escape when a Shadowshaper (who was actually a part of Bella's group) busted in. The three made a plan and got the frick outta there—Six dies, however, from taking a spear to the chest for Des and Amethyst (the Shadowshaper). Amethyst contacts Bella and crew and they meet up (and Des gets tackle-hugged by Lynn and the Volkov twins). There is an argument about Gira staying with them since he and Des didn't start out very nicely. It's eventually settled that Gira would stay as long as he actually helped out and didn't kill anyone of the group.

Skip ahead a bit and they need to come up with a plan to infiltrate Laura's stronghold. Another time skip comes in here and our crew now have info on it. After everyone is ready preparing for this battle, they get in to see Laura and a group of some of her most supreme soldiers expecting them. There's a fight between the Shadow Dragons and the Dredrim, but the Shadow Dragons emerge victorious. Enraged, Laura attempts to resurrect the fallen soldiers and join in herself. She doesn't , however, as she freezes midway and starts to switch between good and evil personalities.

Gira notices the tiniest details of a deity-like presence around and stabs her in the heart. Before dying, Laura thanks him for releasing him of the curse; her body reduces to ash. A spirit crawls out of the ashes and introduces herself—her name is Dea, a goddess erased from history due to the other god/her brother, Caius.

The group is transported to an entirely different reality by Dea. She shows why she was using Des when she forces him to undergo a transformation, revealing another form of him. This Des is much stronger, almost completely silent, and definitely something you don't want to trifle with. He nearly kills them all when he suddenly goes limp.

Caius is shown, who came to stop his sister from any further harm. He banishes her from the reality and revives Des to his normal self. It's at this time that Caius tells them that Gira was actually Des's father. Gira had died in an incident while Des was extremely young. Caius revived him and made him stronger, but the madness of power and not being able to see his family again drove him mad. He traveled throughout the timeline wreaking havoc before Caius had sent him to the realm that he later emerges from.

After that whole ordeal is worked out, the group is free to go. Gira offers to take Des back home, to which he accepts (but doesn't like the fact that it's Gira.) The group gets back in order and the Shadow Dragons share to the rest of them that they're planning to take over Esenon (but it was really Malin who spoiled the secret). Des goes back home and is able to return to a normal life (with a few changes).

The End

*sniff sniff* It's a heartwarming story of love and affection . . . !

*proceeds to hurl*

Yeah, not as great as an ending as I envisioned, but no cliffhangers! (Sorta kinda maybe)

Side facts on characters! (yaaaaay)
•Des
Mark "Des" Keller was born in Germany. He moved to America in the sixth grade and met Andy, who became a close friend. In High School, he was in the marching band (his mother persisted him) and played trumpet; he became the drum major in his senior year. His real name is Marc, but everyone spells it "Mark" when first heard and it just stuck to him.

•Gira
Gira's real name is Rhys Keller. He married Armina Schmidt and Des came around. Due to Gira's excessive amount of magic, Des was threatened with an early death from the inherited magic. To solve this, he transferred that extra magic into a form, which took Gira's best magical traits (which are destructive and not supportive) and put that in his form. Gira died on a trip, the incident still unknown.

•Lynn
The strange Dāku thief doesn't even know who her real parents are. That whole story was a lie. Her first memory was of a Dredrim laboratory. She was enhanced and made to be an infiltrator or a weapon. She eventually broke out, but not before killing one of the two scientists. The other one died from natural causes before.

•Six
Six's real name is still unknown even to his adopted sister. All that we know of him is that he was with Lynn ever since the Dredrim lab. He had magic before his amulet, but a confrontation with someone that could drain magic resulted in him losing it; he uses the amulet since it was a part of his fighting style.

•Astra/Volkov twins
Anastasia and Sasha Volkov were born in Russia, but their mother died from giving birth. It's unexplained why they had magic if they had no known relations to mages. The father couldn't care for them himself, so he gave them to their uncle. He knew of their fusion power, but kept it secret. They were raised by him for ten years of their lives until he passed away protecting them. With nowhere else to go, they wandered around for a week until they bumped into Draconian couple Edgar and Rivila. They took them home to Esenon to train them in magic.

I feel like I'm forgetting a character, but oh well.

Well, that's the end of this series. I highly doubt a lot of people will miss this. As for the story idea I talked about in the most recent update, expecting it in 2017 for sure. I don't even know when I'll start it. I'll just go with the flow. In the meantime, I'll be working on its plot, lore, and characters.

And a little tidbit of the new story! The name-holder is "Boundless", and the main character is a male.

I'll be seeing you fellas in the next world. Cheers!
