-Bella's POV-
My eyes flutter open slowly. 'Where the hell am I?' It feels like someone is banging their fists against my skull inside my head. I sit up slowly and look around. The décor says house but the features say RV. I swing my feet over the side of the bed and attempt to stand up. My head spins violently as my vision goes fuzzy. I grab onto the edge of the bed to prevent from collapsing onto the floor. Using one hand, I grab my head. I feel some kind of material under my palm. As I let go of my head and look down at my hand, I can barely make out the red circle of blood on my palm. Leaning against the side of the bed, I lower myself down to the floor and place my head in between my knees.
'Ugh. Come on Bella. Pull yourself together. You need to find out where in the world you are!'
I groan quietly as I drag myself up from the floor. This time my head doesn't hurt as much standing up and my vision is a bit more focused so I'm able to make out things. I am indeed in a RV, confirmed by the sight of a steering wheel behind two seats in the very front. Depending on whatever I can hold on to for support, I make my way forwards. As I inch my way along, I can feel the strength slowly returning to my body. Nearing the door, I stop for a moment. Placing my hand on the door handle, I take a little bit to catch my breath. Eventually, I muster up enough courage and push the door open.
Immediately, I am greeted with the cool evening air as I step outside. It feels good as whatever breeze blows though my hair. As I glance around to become familiar with my surroundings, I spot a campfire surrounded by people not too far from where I am. I shut the door and make my way over there. The closer I get, the more my jelly legs threaten to give out beneath me. About a few feet away, all of the people stare at me. I freeze as one of them stands up.
'It's...him...that kid from the basement...'
Of course, at that exact moment, my legs completely fail, sending me to the ground. I shut my eyes tightly and wait for the impact. Surprisingly, instead of kissing the dirt, someone catches me. As I open my eyes, I am greeted with the brightest blue eyes. "...hi..." I smile awkwardly. He smiles nervously back. "Hey." We both look up and move apart as someone clears their throat. "I'd best suggest saving your strength young lady. Your injuries are pretty serious."
An older man shakes his head as he stares at me. "You never know when you might need the extra strength. Especially in this day and age..." A younger man stands up and walks over to me. "Well I take it that you must be Bella..." I nod my head. He sticks out his hand. I place my hand in his and give him a friendly handshake. "Hi. I'm Bella." "Well hey Bella. My name is Rick. Rick Grimes. Welcome to our camp." Rick takes off his hat and places it onto the boy's head. "You forgot this here. Thought you might want it back." He strides off and sits back down near the fire. "Okay everyone. Introduce yourself. Hershel, how about you start and then we'll go clockwise."
The older man stands up. "My name is Hershel Greene. I have two daughters and a son, Beth, Maggie, and Glenn. I am also the doctor here." Hershel sits back down as a girl a bit older than me stands up. "Hi. I'm Beth. Nice to meet you Bella!" She smiles cheerfully at me, her blonder hair pulled up into a ponytail swaying around. The girl next to her stands up as Beth sits down. She has short brown hair and a bit more of a serious expression. "Hi. My name is Maggie. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Next up is the Asian boy sitting beside her. "Hey Bella. My name is Glenn, and if you need to make a run for supplies, I'm the go-to guy!" He smiles at me before sitting back down. Another girl about the same age as Beth gets up next. "Hello. I'm Sophia. Nice to meet you." She sits down and a woman stands up. "Hi...um...my name is Carol and Sophia is my daughter ...um...that's really all there is about me..."
The man next to her whistles at me as he stands up and walks closer. "Woo-wee! Check out the size of this bitch little brother! Damn is she hot! Wow! I'm Merle..." Leaning in close, he wraps his arms around my waist and grabs my ass. "...but you gorgeous, you call me Daddy..." I look down to hide my cheeks turning red as the man sitting next to him gets up and rips him off of me. "C'mon Merle! What the hell? Why you gotta go and be such a dick sometimes?" Merle chuckles as he throws his hands in the air. "Because I'm a player little brother! All of the chicks want the D. And boy, do I deliver!"
"Whatever man. Just go take a seat by the fire, alright?" The man sighs angrily as Merle winks at me and finally sits down. "Sorry for all that Bella. I'm Daryl, and that asshole over there is my brother Merle." "Older brother mind you!" Daryl flips him off over his shoulder. "And as you've already experienced, he can be kind of a shit head." As Daryl sighs before heading back, I look over at him. Merle blows me a kiss before cracking up. I sigh as I roll my eyes.
'Oh God...why does it have to be me of all people?..."
Another guy stands up. "Well, my name's Shane. I'm Rick's best friend and I'm also Rick's partner back at the station we work in. So...yeah! Welcome." He sits back down as a woman stands up. It's pretty clear that she's pregnant from her round stomach. "Hi Bella. I'm Lori. It's so nice to meet you." She smiles at me before sitting back down. Rick clears his throat. "Assuming you've already met my son Chandler..." The boy standing next to me smiles as he tips his hat.
'Chandler... so that's his name...'
"...then you've met everyone here. Again, welcome to our camp Bella." I smile politely. "Thank you." I grab Chandler's arm and pull him away from everyone else. "Okay Mr. Basement Stalker..." Cutting me off, he chuckles and looks up at me. "Mr. Basement Stalker? Is that the nickname you've given me?" He smiles and looks down. "Yes, but that's not the point! Why am I here?" He looks up at me, his face all serious. "You were bitten."
