Amelia studied the stranger.

Long, pitch black hair, flawless skin, long legs. She noticed a piece of paper in the unconscious girl's hand and reached out to grab it.

She's the last one ever.

"What the hell does that mean?" Amelia blurted after she read it out loud.

The girl shot up into a sitting position, almost instantly after what Amelia said. Amelia jumped back, hitting the wall as the stranger sucked in a huge breath. Her eyes snapped open and she blinked, looking around at the crowd surrounding her. Burning blue eyes darted back and forth.

"Thomas." Every Gladers' eyes landed on him as the stranger fell back to the ground.

Jealousy erupted in Amelia who looked at the unconscious girl and furrowed her brows in confusion. She shook it off and looked at the crowd surrounding them.

"Med-jacks!"

Amelia walked into the room where the new girl laid. Newt, Minho and Thomas were following behind her.

"What's going on? Why isn't she waking up? What's wrong with her?" Amelia interrogated a dark-skinned Med-jack named Jeff.

Jeff sighed deeply and shrugged his shoulders, signalling that he did not know the answers to her questions. Newt bit his lip before looking at Thomas.

"Do you recognise her?" he asked, Thomas shook his head.

"Really? 'Cause, she seems to recognise you."

"We'll worry about the note later, we have too much on our plate. We'll just wait 'till she wakes up and see what she knows. Someone's gotta have the answers around here," Amelia stated, looking at the others. Thomas nodded his head slightly before exiting the room, Minho following him.

"Fine, but you're not going out there alone. Meet me in the woods in half an hour. And you're telling Newt and Amelia about this," Minho commanded to Thomas before leaving him. He walked back to where he and Minho left Amelia and Newt with the unconscious girl.

"Hold up, Lia. What do you mean? What are you talking about?" Thomas overheard Newt say.

"I don't think the dreams I had last night were dreams. I'm convinced they're memories. And the confession part, the part where someone told me that they liked me. It sounded like Thomas," Amelia spoke.

Thomas furrowed his brows and continued to eavesdrop. He knew it was wrong, but it did involve him in some way.

"She's not wrong, Tom. It didn't sound like you, it was you," a voice said, Thomas looked around but saw no one else in the hallway.

"If anymore 'memories' come, tell me. Who knows, this could lead to another one of our answers that we need," Newt stated.

"What do you think they'll find?" Amelia asked Newt and Gally as they wait for the other Keepers and Thomas to return from checking the Griever Thomas had killed. Gally rolled his eyes.

"I doubt they'll find anything," he spat.

"We don't know that, but believe what you want," Amelia shrugged.

A few minutes later, Minho handed Newt some kind of metal device. It had a tiny screen that showed the number seven on it.

"They won't find anything you say," Amelia teased Gally, who rolled his eyes in response. She snatched the device out of Newt's hands and began to examine it. She ran her thumb over a small sticker that said WICKED.

"These are the same letters we get on our supplies," she commented and looked at the rest, confused.

"Whoever put us here obviously made the Grievers," Thomas stated.

"And this is the first real clue, the first anything you've found in over three years, right Minho?" Minho nodded.

"Lia, Newt. We have to go back out there, who knows where this could lead us," Amelia exchanged looks with Gally and Newt.

"You see what he's trying to do, right? First, he breaks a rule and now he convinces us to abandon them totally, wha—".

"Shut your hole, Galpal," Amelia snapped.

"Lia, you know I'm right, you just don't want to admit it. You know if Alby was here, he'd agree with me," Gally exclaimed. Newt took the device and handed it over to Minho.

"He's right, Thomas did break the rules. One night in the pit with no food," Newt ordered.

"Oh c'mon Newt, you think one night in the pit will stop this shank from going into the Maze," Gally fumed, pointing at Thomas who averted his eyes to the ground.

"Of course not. But we can't have non-runners going into the Maze whenever they feel it," Amelia spoke. She turned to face Thomas.

"From tomorrow onwards, you're a Runner." Gally mumbled a 'wow' sarcastically and stomped away. Frypan ran off to attempt to calm him down.

"Thanks, Lia," Thomas scratched the back of his neck. The female Glader did not reply.
