Chapter 9.

It's Monday and I'm back at school. I'm walking in with Kate and Kaitlyn since I got on the early bus with them to school. Demi got on with Calum and Grace got on with Ashton.

"today I'm going to tell them" Kate and Kaitlyn knew that I needed to tell the boys about my 5 months to live.

"don't worry about it" Kaitlyn said

"you have Michael and us!" Kate said squeaking at the last part and Kaitlyn and I laughed.

"thanks girls" I gave them a hug and walked to my locker. I grabbed my books and went into the classroom. I put my books down on my table and pulled out my phone.

To: Michael

How long till your at school?

I sat and waited for a reply. About 1 minuet later Michael replied.

From: Michael

About 5 minuets. It's not a fun bus ride listening to Calum and Ashton flirt with Demi and Grace!

I laughed at his text and waited. I was the only one in the room until Chloe walked in.

"Hello Chloe"

"Hey Darcy, What did you do after Grace's party?"

"Michael and I went back to his house and watched movies"

"that's good"

We talked about different things since it was just the 2 of us until the boys came into the classroom.

"DARCYYYYY! TOMORROW I'M GETTING ON THE EARLY BUS WITH YOU" Michael yelled as Ashton, Calum and Chloe laughed.

"ME TOO" Luke said and I started laughing.

"Well I'm getting the late bus home tonight then since Grace and Demi said there getting on the early one" Luke and Michael nodded while Calum and Ashton were talking about something. The classroom started to fill up but we still had 5 minuets.

"wait so are Demi and Calum together?" Chloe asked.

"yep. Since there date" Luke answered.

We sat down and waited for the teacher. I put my phone on silent and put it in my pocket. Waiting for the teacher.





The day went by pretty fast. It was now lunch and I was sitting at the table with the group. I was in between Luke and Demi. We were talking about stuff when Demi tapped my shoulder.

"you have to tell them now" she whispered and I nodded

"guys... sorry to interrupted but I have something that I need to tell you" Luke, Calum and Ashton looked worried.

"I have less then 5 months to live. The doctor told me at my last check up" they froze. Demi and Grace held Calum and Ashton's hands to help them out. I grabbed onto Luke's hand to make sure he was ok.

"you...5 months...to" he was shocked. Ashton and Calum still haven't moved. The bell went to break the silence. Everyone got up. Luke kept on holding onto my hand.

"I'm here for you Darcy. I'm not going to leave you" I smiled at his comment as a small smile formed on his face.



After school I got on the later bus with Luke and Michael. They both came to my house for a bit before Michael left.

"I can't believe you have 5 months"

"it's scary to think that my life will be over that quick. I will never get to see the whole world or get married and start a family" those are some of the many things I want to do in life but I guess I never will.

We chatted for a bit before Luke had to go. Once he left I had a shower and got into bed. I fell asleep peaceful.



*the next day*


I got up and did my normal routine. I had my tablets, breakfast, brushed my teeth, got dress and was out if the house walking to the bus stop. Michael was there and he had a massive smile on his face

"What are you so happy about?"

"oh nothing" His hidding something from me. I wonder what. I'm too lazy to get it out of him now.

We got on the bus in our normal spot and waited for the boys. Michael was texting someone but I couldn't see. When Luke, Ashton and Calum got on they had massive smiles on there faces as well. The must know what it is.

"why are you guys so happy?"

"you will see. Are we still going to go to your house after school?" Ashton asked still smiling.

"Yeah" 

The day dragged on. I went to put my books in my locker when I saw the boys walking towards me. They were still smiling. The smile hasn't left there faces all day. We walked to the bus stop and waited for the later bus since we missed the first one. We got on the bus and they were still smiling. When we got to my house I couldn't help it.

"OK! You've been smiling all day today and it's starting to scare me so please tell me why!" They kept on smiling as my mum and dad walked into the room.

"Ok so remember when you found out you had cancer and you come to my house and you told me that yu would never get to travel the world" Michael started

"yeah that's always been my dream"

"well we have organised a way for you to come with us on tour and still keep up with schooling" I couldn't believe what they were saying

"wait so I will travel the world with you guys"

"yes!" I couldn't believe it. I've always wanted to see the world and I can't believe I would be able to with my condition.

"Wait what about my illness?"

"that was the main problem but we talked to your docter and he said someone familer with the condition had to be there" Mum started saying

"and the 3 people that know your condition really well are your docter, your mum and Michael" That was true. Michael knew everything about my condition.

"we leave in 3 weeks" Calum yelled. I started to cry because I was so happy. I gave the boys a masive hug and then my parents.

"THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU" I yelled. 

I can't believe I'm traveling with my cousin and my 3 best friends.

OMG! I'M SO HAPPY FOR HER
