It was the Monday of the last week of school, and I sat where I sat, and kept an eye out for Jacob.

I tried my best to look nonchalant of his presence as I saw his the top groomed black hair step onto the bus, looking out the bus window.

"Hello Jolene." He greeted as he took a seat beside me. Whatever cologne he was wearing smelt absolutely delicious, I noticed. I took an earphone out of my ear, feigning that I was surprised to see him.

"Hey Jacob." I greeted. We'd reached a new level where I could apparently speak to him without nearly fainting.

"Are you looking forward to ending school?" He asked casually as the bus ride begun.

"Actually yes." I admitted. I'd waited far too long for this.

"How about school formal? Excited for that?" He asked. I gave him a slight nod.

"Have you got a date?" My heart sunk at those words, as in all honesty it was the day I was dreading. I had no dress or no date. I almost didn't want to show up.
