" Kayleigh. Come downstairs, your father and I need to talk to you." My mother called. I dropped my book I was reading and ran downstairs to meet my parents. When I got downstairs I saw duffel bags on the floor. "Kayleigh," my dad said. "We are going to Kansas." "WHAT!" I yelled. "We're going to Kansas. You see your grandmother's third cousin's uncle had a farm in Kansas but he passed away not to long ago and in his will he left the barn to Mrs. Rutherford, his niece. Mrs. Rutherford got in contact with grandma and invited us to stay at her farm for 3 weeks. So go pack." My dad told me. I was so excited to go to Kansas! I grabbed my suitcase from my closet and dumped out my drawers so it would be easier to pack. I threw three weeks worth of clothes in to my suitcase and some other stuff like my book, my sketch book, some different shaded pencils and some pencil crayons. When I finally got all my stuff to fit in my suitcase I brought it downstairs and put it with all my other stuff. Then I ran back upstairs to get my phone, charger, and makeup bag. I helped my dad put all the stuff in the back of his red Ford pickup. The truck isn't that old. It was last years model, but it ran just as smooth as a bran new truck. My mom came out of the house and made sure we had everything then we got in and headed off to Kansas. I stared out the window for a bit and felt myself slowly drift asleep.
