Randal was ecstatic about being able to go to Brazil with his best friends Chris and Christine. He was bringing things like his hygiene products, various clothing, exploration gear, and various books and material for field notes. He was more ready for this than anything. He was, clearly, mainly excited for TH guided nature walk. He couldn't wait to see if he knew more than the guide, likely.
Even though he was prepared physically, he still had a problem. He needed relationship counseling. He had a little tiny, or at least he thought of it to be tiny, bit of a crush on Christine. He had always thought of her as just a friend, but something, for a reason he is yet to find out, something changed. He always liked to correct people and to spout useless facts. Now, though, he draws the line at her out of fear of looking annoying in front of her. He would think that he would be able to have extra time to think about it. The problem was here he was, in the car getting ready to spend two weeks at a Brazilian resort with her with no idea how to pull it off.
Regardless of his interest in Christine, he was ready. This is going to be awesome.
