Randal was home in his room. He was writing in his journal, preparing to write his new encyclopedia when his mother called for him to empty his bag out.

He first emptied his suitcase, folding his clothes and putting them in his closet. He then looked in his drawstring.

He opened the bag and removed the antelope skull, he then looked under it and removed the empty bags that once contained antelope meat. He then removed the antelope hide. He folded the hide up and hid the skin and the skull in his closet. Then he looked in his bag again and gasped at what he saw. Sleeping comfortably on his books was a small reptilian shape.

There sat a dragon, it's wing draped over itself.

Randal shut the bag and ran into the garage. He brought in a large bird cage and stuffed it full of fake plants and bird perches. He sat the cage next to the one containing his robin and quietly opened the bag again. He gently picked up the sleeping dragon and placed the little creature on a small platform in the cage. It didn't stir, but the rise and fall of its sides showed it was breathing.

The lizard must have snuck in when he was airing out his bag in the jungle. Reptiles can go extended periods of time without food. He watched the little creature and went to sleep himself. Soon he would have a lot to tell the others.
