Step Thirteen: The New Plan

Buttercup sighed as she pushed her textbook around. It's been a week since she talked to Butch and Mitch, it's been a week since she accepted a job offer, it's been a week since she was Buttercup. Usually players don't make her feel anything but hatred, but Butch was the top notch player and Buttercup wanted to be the girl who took him down. But instead she was one who was taken down.

So now Buttercup has been avoiding people, only talking to Blossom and Bubbles, and actually been studying and working on soccer. Buttercup lead her team to winning games, which was only two in the past week, but it was still pretty huge. But instead heading to the party she went back to her dorm room, and just watched YouTubers, wishing that they could take her pain away.

But she could remember so clearly the conversation with Mitch. Buttercup chewed on her bottom lip as she glanced towards the door then back to her textbook. Rage burned through her as she thought about what Mitch said to her, how he was blackmailing her.

"I think you know I would, because you did 'date' me right?" Mitch asked while grinning. Buttercup narrowed her eyes towards him and shook her head.

"I'm doing what you want me to do. So get away from me before I hurt you," Buttercup hissed as Mitch chuckled and shook his head.

"Always with violence, I feel like that's the only thing that's to you. Besides I have some information that you might want to know, that is if you want too." Mitch said with a smirk as Buttercup raised her eyebrow towards him.

"What do you mean?"

"I know who broke you? That's the one person you always wanted, correct?"

"You right, wanted, now I don't want to know."

"I'm sure you do, because this person was so close to becoming your friend."

"Who are you talking about?"

"I'll give you his name, as long you do something for me."

"Which is?"

"Help me ruin Butch's soccer rep, and I'll give you the name."

"No way! Why would I help you with that?" Buttercup exclaimed as Mitch chuckled and flipped his brown hair over his shoulder.

Mitch smirked as he grabbed the muffin from her hand. His brown eyes stared into her green eyes and took one bite before clearing his throat.

"Because Butch Jojo was the one who broke you."

Buttercup slammed her textbook and stood up. She gotten some looks but she didn't care, she was angry that he was guy. Buttercup walked out of the classroom, ignoring the teacher calling her back, and she made her way towards her dorm.

Grabbing her phone she dialed Butch's number, the private code, with each ring she took a deep breath. The ringing finally stopped as she heard his deep breathing and groaning. Which only meant she woke him up, but she didn't care.

"Hello?" Butch morning voice asked as Buttercup opened her mouth but shut it.

She didn't know what to say, so she just stood there in shock. Butch repeatedly said hello, before groaning in anger.

"Who the fuck is this? Because it;s around twelve, and I have a game tonight. So you better speak up before I punch your vocal cords in!" Butch yelled as Buttercup snapped out of her faze and glared towards the wall in front of her.

"Who the fuck are you? Do you have any brains or feelings to realize that it was you who ruined my life and others! I hope that your vocal cords are the ones who get punched in you jerk!" Buttercup yelled as tears streamed down her face.

"Buttercup?" Butch asked as she hung up the phone.

Buttercup screamed in her palm and closed her eyes. Yet she felt upset, because it was finally hitting her. That it was butch who hurt her, not the other way around. Buttercup stopped screaming and wiped the tears from her eyes and looked down at her phone.

"I'm not going to cry over some jerk," She muttered before going through her contacts. She clicked on his name and pressed call, and put the phone to her ear.

"Buttercup?" Mitch's voice asked as she took in deep breath and stared straight ahead.

"What do you need me to do?"
