Final Step: Til Death Due Us Part

Buttercup stood infront of the mirror, and frowned. She hated wearing her hair up, it made it look like she had a big head. She sighed as she twisted in front of the mirror, and started to think that it was like their first real date all over again. 

Buttercup groaned and stomped away, trying to rip her dress, so she wouldn't have to go out there. But nothing was doing the trick, because it was a cheap dress at Sears, that actually had to be good! She rolled her eyes and just sat down, looked out the window.

She saw her friends was sitting in the chairs, talking. She heard a knocking at her door, knowing that it was her father. She sighed but saw Butch was standing at the end of the isle, talking to the preacher. She gulped and saw he wasn't using his wheelchair, which only made her heart beat faster.

It has been two years since college, two years since he asked her to marry him. And Buttercup has been putting off the wedding, since she was scared. But when Butch got in a car accident, which only made his knee get worst. Which he could only stand on his legs no longer than an hour, and he was using his hour right now for the wedding.

She felt her face turned a bright red, but she walked towards the door. She opened and saw her father was smiling at her. She grabbed his arm and they walked down the stairs, there was Blossom and Bubbles was standing near the doorway with their partners, Boomer and Brick.

Buttercup sighed and tried to get her mind off of anything else. But she was nervous, it was like whenever she goes out to play her games. She heard the music playing, and the others walked out. She grabbed her fathers hand, who just smiled and kissed her forehead.

When the doors opened, everyone stood up. Buttercup took in a deep breathe and walked out, she kept her eyes on Butch. His dark green eyes met her light ones, which only made her legs weak. Butch smiled, making her keep walking.

After everything they been through, all the lies, all the plays. Buttercup and Butch could finally be happy with him. She smiled, which made Butch a little shaky, still amazed by her smile. Buttercup was glad that she still had that affect on him.

Finally they reached down the isle, grabbing each other hands. Butch leaned on her, which made her smile. Knowing that he needed her as much she needed him, not just for the knee. Butch smiled as glanced down at her and then back at his wheelchair, which was next to Boomer.

"Don't be nervous," Butch whispered, as the preacher started off as Buttercup gave him a nervous chuckle.

"How can I not be? I'm shocked I didn't fall on the way out here." She mumbled as he smiled.

"You kept your eyes on me, you know your hot husband to be." 

"Also cocky, don't forget that."

"How can I? It's one my best traits." 

"Dork."

"Love you too."

"Do you really?" Buttercup asked, as the preacher asked for Butch's answer, which he smiled. 

"I do." He said, which made Buttercup smiled.

"Do you Buttercup take Butch to be your husband?" He asked as Buttercup smiled.

"I do." She said as Butch smiled.

"You may kiss the bride." The preacher said as Butch grabbed her by the waist and kissed her.

Buttercup laughed whenever they pulled apart, and Boomer brought the wheelchair for Butch, who was starting to shake. Buttercup helped him in, as he grabbed her wrist, which made her look towards him.

He gave her a serious look as he nodded.

"Til death due us part." He said as Buttercup smiled.

"Til death due us part,"She said as Butch smiled and gave her the number one laugh.

"Then what are we waiting for? I got food waiting for me!" He said as Buttercup laughed and rolled him down the isle.

As they walked down the isle, every worry left them. For they knew that death due them part, which was true. All the pain they went through, through the three kids they had, through the fights they had. They stayed with each other, because they truly loved each other.

Because the Heartbreaker didn't break the player, instead she fell in love with him.
