Chapter 5

"I am not afraid."

It's been a couple of months after the incident happened. It was now the beginning of May. The flowers are blooming, love was spreading through the school, smiles plastered onto every student's face. The Thanatos' kids were being influenced to accept the fact that they're free and safe. Those who are resisting, are still suffering from the memories from Thanatos. All the kids you've met sat at the same row of seats watching the annual spring Quidditch game. They were happy.
Well, not all of them. Alessandra Snape sat somewhere in the middle. She sat next to her arch nemesis at Thanatos and now. Julie Potter. They both were sitting down, blocking down the disturbing commotion which is not needed when studying. The Finals were coming, and these two were competing for Top Award, which is a prize called upon the most smartest and talented student of the Year of its grade. For the past years, Alessandra and Julie has tied several times, but on an seperate occasion, Alessandra won. That memory haunted Julie badly. Alessandra took every moment needed to tease her with it. This year, Julie was determined to beating Alessandra. All of the Thanatos' kids seem to believe Hogwarts' teachings were rather too easy. Alessandra Snape seemed to look healthier than ever. Her brown eyes still glowed in evilness, her long, dark blonde hair was cut to her shoulders, making her look quite like a lone wolf, possibly like a Leader. Julie Potter looked a little less healthy, but not too much less. Her usual dead green eyes now sometimes, rarely glimmered of hope and joy. Her ginger hair was cut a few inches above her shoulders, it always messy and tangled. Her face was still pale and fragile, but she got better.

The Quidditch Match was Gryffindor against Hufflepuff. Since none of their friends who were in Gryffindor or Hufflepuff was able to make it on, they sat at the Neutral Section. Gryffindor was obviously beating Hufflepuff miserably, 60-10. It's been almost half an hour, and no one had caught the Snitch yet.

"Holy Thanatos," Alana said shockingly. "Where did Derrick go?" The friends started looking around, while Alessandra and Julie remained silent. They all shook their friends as if saying they don't see Derrick. Plus, he would be hard to spot, a shorter than average First Year with messy black hair and strong, bright, blue eyes. He would blend in with the crowd.

"He's not around here," Haylee responded worriedly. "Where the hel- he was here a second ago." Haylee rubbed her forehead. "Maybe he's in the restroom?"

"No, if he went, he would tell me or Son." Alana said, "He would want someone to watch his food. Cause... ya know... Julie steals food."

Julie looked over, her green eyes cold. "It's food. And it's there. How you expect me not to get it?" She lifted her shoulders up as if asking a question with an obvious answer.

"Where did he go?" Son asked.

"We better go to the Headmistress," Haylee said urgently.

"Everything is with the Headmistress or Professors with you, Haylee. Don't you know how to solve your own problems? Huh? Are you mute? ANSWER ME." Alessandra demanded harshly, her brown eyes spitting out fire. "So you are mute."

"It's okay, Haylee." Julie said, "Alessandra has a personal vendetta against the Headmistress."

"Fine," Haylee answered confidently. "I'll solve my own problems." she gathered her books and papers into her backpack and walked away.

"No you're not," Julie said, gathering her things. "You're not his only friend. Come on, guys." Nobody argued with Julie. Alessandra hesitated, but eventually gathered her stuff. Haylee and Alessandra shot each other stinky eyes and middle fingers. People were careful not to anger the two most powerful female figures in the school.
