SPECIAL EDITION CHAPTER BOTCH! PRETEND THIS IS MY CHRISTMAS PRESENT TO YOOUUUU!! AHAHAHAHA. THANK YOU SO MUCH.

- before it started -

"Hey Delpha! Play with me, please." he begged, pouting cutely.

"Fine," Delpha gave in, rolling her eyes. "It's Christmas," she said. "We're turning 8."
"Our birthday's on Christmas?" Kyle tilted his head in confusion. He shrugged, and looked over at his mother. She wore a ragged white dress, her dark brown eyes forcing a smile. Scars and bruises placed all over her body. Chains kept her from the outside world. Maybe she looked a little too much like Merope Gaunt, her paternal grandmother. Broken eyes, hair that seemed to messy to be hair, a face that's tired of life, but still somehow living. The only thing that sets Merope and Kyle's mother apart is that, Kyle's mother is living for her kids. She's bearing the chains and torturing for her kids, instead of giving out like her grandmother did. Her name was Delphini Riddle, the daughter of Voldemort and Bellatrix. The two's names were feared across the lands, but somehow people still speak it. Delphini had been imprisoned in Azkaban for murders she committed.

"Come on kids," Delphi spoke gently. "get under the floor. The new guard is coming."
The kids obeyed silently. Delpha opened the loose plank on the floor and let Kyle squeeze in, and Delpha got in, closing the plank on her way. The underfloor was crowded, it was difficult to breath and it was dark. Both of the kids had to crouched in order to fit.
"Delphini Riddle," the new guard said, a tough and buffed guy in his mid-30s. He was a holding a clipboard and a pen in his hand. His brown eyes glanced over at the broken woman. She slowly opened her brown eyes, smiled, and with all her might, took over his mind.
"Take my kids out." she commanded strongly. All of her strength was gone. "Kyle... Delpha... come out."
They heard and quickly came out. Delpha rubbed her forehead. "Mom, isn't there gonna be other guards out there too?"
Delphi shook her head. "It's Christmas," she coughed dramatically, blood spitting out. "Delpha... come here..."
"What is it, Mom?" Delpha asked gently, "Aren't you coming, too?"
Delphi shook her head once again. "I can't... Delpha... promise me one thing."

Delpha nodded her head. "Anything Mom."
Delphi coughed more and with her last words... "Protect your brother."
"Mom-"
"Promise?"

"I promise."
"Good," Delphi smiled gently. "Now go. I love you guys so much." Her eyes slowly closed, a big teardrop fell out and she was silent. Delpha brushed away the tears and grabbed Kyle and ran. They past the prisoners, crying for help, Kyle wanted to stay, but Delpha pushed. She ran and ran and ran. After they escaped Azkaban, after the thousands of staircases, after all the cryings and tears. They made it out. All they found waiting for them was vastness of water.
"We can't Delpha," Kyle said worriedly, his green eyes alert. "We'll drown."
Delpha didn't need any encouragement, her eyes scanned the area for any possible escapes. Better to die trying. "There!" Delpha pointed to a small rowboat with two old-fashioned paddles. It was drifting away from shore, and it was probably the new guard's. She hesitated, but jumped into the cold, freezing water. A storm was coming, the dark clouds and harsh winds were obvious. Delpha screamed in pain, as the water's temperature almost killed her. Before long, she reached the boat, desperately placing her hand on the side of the boat. It was made of wood. For a moment, Delpha wanted to let out, let the ocean take her. But she remembered she made a promise to her mother. She remembered without her, Kyle would probably die. So she didn't let go. Instead she pushed herself up with all her might, gasping for air. Kyle watched her with horror, afraid his only family might die. But Kyle knew Delphi been through things worse than Hell. Delpha placed her cold, weak hands onto the rows and pushed against the waves to the shore.
"COME ON KYLE!" she screamed. Kyle obeyed and got into the wood rowboat. "Here," she said giving Kyle a row. "Row if you want us to live."
"Where do we go?" Kyle asked.
"North," Delpha answered, rain starting to fall. "Mom says there's land. There'll be people who will help us. We just have to get there alive." She looked at her brother, his eyes opened his horror. "We can make it, I promise."
"What if we don't make it?"
"What if we will?" Delpha's confident green eyes gave Kyle hope. He nodded, a bad feeling still in the pit of his stomach. Or maybe he's just hungry. Who knows?
