As Alivia and Newt made it up to the center of camp, her eyes darted around as she watched the boys as they were laughing, dancing, and singing around the open campfire.
A sense of happiness lingered in the air, spreading warmth throughout her body. Glancing over his shoulder he grinned at her. "See you later doll," he said shortly walking away from her side and over to Peter.
Left completely dumbfounded, Alivia took a seat next to one of the only people she knew so far. "Hey," Felix said not giving her glance of acknowledgment.
"Hi," she said simply resting her hand onto her palm. "So Mathew huh?" He asked after a long silence between them. Alivia looked up at him with a the slightest hint disgust etched into her facial expression.
"More like Mathewe," she mumbled looking back at the campfire. Felix snorted. "Did you- Did you really say what I think you just said?" Felix asked looking over at her. His eyes gleamed with amusement. "Depends, what did you hear?" She mumbled raising a brow.
Felix grinned shaking his head. "I can't wait to get to know you Alivia," he said. Her face twisted with confusion. "What's that suppose-" Alivia began but, as convenient as it sounds, Peter stood before them.
"Felix I need your help with something," Peter said deathly low. Snapping her attention to his direction, she tried to catch his eye. And in all attempts she had failed.
Felix stood "See you around," he said shortly leaving with Peter. Alivia now sat alone. And it wasn't as awkward as she thought it would have been. It was a simple sense of content that rested over her.
"I can't believe the level of pettiness you have," a familiar voice hissed as they walked by. Staring, her eyes rested on Mathew. "You had to have a boy come and save you," he said his voice curling with disgust. His left eye was black and purple, right below his eye was yellow and swollen.
"Back off," she hissed. "Or what are you gonna yell for Peter again?" He question rolling his eyes. "Petty," he mumbled under his breathe as he walked away.
Alivia glared at the back of his head, by this point she had killed his twenty-three times in her head. How could someone be so low?
"Hey youv are Alivia right?" A boy asked, forcing her gaze from Mathew to a boy who looked along the lines of six years old. "I sure am," she said smiling up at him. The small boy grinned his two front teeth were missing which made;
Alivia's heart swell with happiness. Taking a seat next to her he looked up at her. "I'm Will," he said kicking his dangling feet against the old log.
"Well it's a good to meet you Will," she said down to him. "I've got somefin' for ya," he said digging through his jacket pocket. "You do?" She asked. Nodding his black hair moved with the motion. He held up a bottle cap painted a deep blue and a piece of a leaf glued onto it.
Alivia opened her palm letting Will hand her the pin. "Do you give this to everyone that is new here?" She asked carefully clipping the pin right below her left collarbone.
Shrugging he shook his head. "Not really onvy the people I like," he said a small accent hidden amongst his words. Alivia smiled and ruffled his hair. "Well I like you too Will,"
"The pin is the sort of the start of our friendship," he said giving a toothy grin. Alivia opened her mouth to respond but another boy came running up. "Ther' ya are Will," the boy said.
The boy was just as small as Will, instead of thick curls, his hair was more wavy with the same tint of black. "I thought I lost ya," he said exasperated. "I'm sorry," Will said half-heartily. "I was only makin' a new friand," he said motioning to Alivia. "Youv the girwl?" The boy questioned sitting next to Will.
Alivia nodded looking at the two. "Well I'm Alfred, but you can call me Alfie instead," he grinned. Unlike his twin brother, he had both his front two teeth. "Broders!" A third called moving his small legs swiftly. Jesus how many are there? "And that's Zeke!" Alfie said jumping slightly when he said the name. Alivia couldn't help but smile at the triplets. Well, she guessed that there were only three of them.
"Fellas this is Avivia," Will said informing his two other brothers. Alivia opened her mouth to correct the pronunciation of her name, but she stopped herself, knowing good and well that he wouldn't be able to say it right anyways.
"So Avivia," Zeke said sitting down in front of her crossing his legs. "Are youv our new swister?" He questioned. "Well, uh," she stuttered. Do I say yes or?? "Alivia" a voice said snapping her out of her thoughts. "Peter would like to speak to you," Newt said, yet this time there was no smile on his lips. Yet, his face was still soft, and boy so hard like his cousin's.
Nodding she stood. "See you later guys," she said waving briefly at the triplets before turning and following Newt. "What does he want to talk about?" She questioned.
He shrugged. "My cousin doesn't like to talk to me on such subjects," he answered. "Why?" "Because he knows that I tell people the real answers," he said smiling slightly.
She snickered. "And who's fault would that be?" "I blame my mother, always told me I had to be truthful." He said smiling at the mention of his mom. Alivia nodded as they approached Felix and Peter.
"As you are aware I asked to speak to you," Peter began looking slightly above her head. "Firstly I would like to say that your tent is ready. I will show you to there later. And secondly Mathew has to be punished for what he did, it's apart of my rules here in Neverland. His punishment has been brought out." He explained his eyes finally meeting her own.
"Is that all?" She asked tilting her head slightly. "That is all." He confirmed with a curt of a nod. But it appeared that he wanted to say more, but he never did. Instead, he stood and followed the two boys from behind.
Felix and Newt walked ahead of Peter and Alivia. They were in deep discussion about a certain game and about the lesson that was brought out from it. A game that she had never heard of before. Looking over she watched Peter.
"I have a question." She said noting the fact that had been avoiding her. The space in between them was uncomfortably big. "And that is?" He asked not looking at her. Is it even my place to ask?
Shaking her head Alivia sighed. "Never mind." She said and for the second time that day his gaze found its way over to her. "No, what is it? What is on your mind?" "I forgot." "Now, you don't actually expect me to believe that now do you?" She shrugged. "You can believe whatever you would like to believe, I cannot control that." She said turning her head to what was ahead of her.
"Did training with Newt go well?" "Fine actually, I just thought you'd be the one to teach me," she said in-a-matter-of-fact tone. "No, I do not teach fighting skills. I teach how to you use what is around you to survive." He informed her.
She nodded. "Is anyone else in camp capable of performing magic?" She asks itching her elbow awkwardly. "Not that I'm aware of." He said pausing for a moment. "Can you?" "I've already answer that question before. Yes." She said straightening her back.
"What can you do?" "Why should I tell you?" "Why wouldn't you?" She hesitated on her response. She shrugged "Because, Peter, it's time to celebrate." She said smiling slightly as they walked into the cheers of the lost boys.
