Chapter 12

Ava's pov.

"So are you guys dating?" Mike asked taking a sip of his smoothie.

Right now me and the gang are out to go get smoothies and catch up since they have been out on vacation. James is at work and he will be here any minute oh and by the way yes me and James are friends again.

"No we are just friends" I said shrugging.

"That's what they all say" Parker huffed.

I rolled my eyes and drank some of my blueberry smoothie.

"Excuse me miss?" I heard a voice say.

I looked up to see a boy that I have never met before. He looked like he was around my age maybe a little younger, he had brown hair and brown eyes. He was cute but not my type.

"Me?" I asked confused.

"Yes" He nodded.

"Okay...how may I help you?"

"Um...me and my friends are sitting over there" He said pointing to a table with two other guys. "We were wondering if you wanted to give us your number"

"Oh...um look...I don't really just hand out my number to random people but nice try"

"But miss-"

"Ava" I corrected

"But Ava why not?"

"Because I have a boyfriend" I lied while shrugging.

"Oh yeah where is he then?"

Just when he asked that James walked in.

"Right there that's him" I said getting up and walking over to James.

"Hi Av-"

I cut him off by smashing my lips to his. He stood there shocked for a minute before putting his hands around my waist. I pulled back and looked at his questioning gaze.

"Just go with it" I mumbled

He still looked confused but nodded anyway. We walked up to our table and sat down.

"Oh I guess you were serious Ava" The boy said looking at me with big eyes.

"Yes I was..."

"Alfred" 

"Yes I was Alfred, now if you will excuse us I just have to catch up with my friends and my boyfriend"

"Who's your boy-" I cut James off by elbowing him where the sun doesn't shine.

I heard him intake a sharp breath making me smirk.

"Well if your ever single just look for me" Alfred said winking at me.

I shivered and looked down.

"What was that all about?" James asked while grabbing my drink and taking a sip.

I snatched the drink from him and scowled.

"I wanted the kid to leave so I used you to make him go away simple" I shrugged

"So you used me?" 

"Yup"

"Wow Ava and here I thought we had something special"

I chuckled and hit him on the arm.

"They would make such a cute couple" Chase whispered loudly.

"We can here you" Me and James said at the same exact time.

We looked at each other and burst out laughing.

"Yup their made for each other" Hunter said fake gushing.
