Chapter 20

Ava's pov.

I looked around at my new but tiny apartment that I just moved into yesterday. It was an alright apartment, but it's not as nice as my last one. My last one was not so nice either but it was better than this one.

The bathroom only has a toilet and a crappy shower, my kitchen is barely even a kitchen. I only have a microwave, small crappy sink, shitty stove, and a horrible mini fridge. The living room has a tiny couch and coffee table. I don't have a TV since I'm low on money, and I don't even have a bedroom, so I just sleep on my small crappy couch, that smells like shit.

Well at least I have a roof over my head I guess.

I walked over to my mini fridge and pulled out a water bottle, I sat down on my couch and just stared off into no where. I still can't believe that me and James broke up. He was the reason I started believing in love again, but that's gone now. I spent the past month getting drunk in my apartment and smashing things and crying uncontrollably.

Now?

Now I just feel numb.

I feel like nothing, I feel nothing, I can't cry and I can't get mad, I'm just numb. I felt my eyelids start to get heavy so I lied down and fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing, I groaned and picked up my phone. 

"Hello?" I asked sleepily.

"Sorry did we wake you?" I heard Mike ask.

"Yeah but it's probably time for me to get up anyway"

"What time is it there?" I heard Chase ask.

"It's 8 am here, what time is it there?" 

"It's 3 am!" I heard Hunter yell from a distance.

"What the fuck are you guys doing up?" I asked getting off the couch and walking over to my kitchen.

"We couldn't sleep because we were worried about you" Parker said

"Awe...well that's sweet"

"Yup we know" Brian said

"Of coarse you do, now guys I have a question?"

"Shoot" They all yelled making me chuckle.

"How's James?" 

The line was silent for a minute.

"He's fine I guess but he looked crushed when we told him that you moved to London" Mike explained

"Did you give him the letter?" I asked biting my nails.

"Yeah we did but he decided to read it alone, so we don't know what's in it or how he took it" Parker said

"Well I hope he doesn't take it to...hard" I said looking down at my feet.

"How do you feel Ava, and don't say you feel fine" Hunter said

"Honestly...I...I...feel numb"

"Huh" I heard Chase huff.

My stomach growled telling me that I better get some food.

"I gotta go guys I'm starving"

"Of coarse you are" Brian huffed

"Goodbye guys love you and I miss you" 

"BYE MISS YOU AND WE LOVE YOU!!!" They all screamed into the phone making me jump.
