Chapter 26 Aurlk POV

I sit on the ground leaning against the house looking off into the sky waiting for my mother. It's not completely silent there's the sounds of crickets, a few owls, and some wolfs in the distance, My mind is at ease with silence...until he appears. You really need to control that girl of yours. You have no right calling my mate a-. Oh please you know you wanted to call her that, sooo now that were alone...what's the game plan. What game plan? ~growls~ are you being a smartass right now? Maybe. Look we don't have time for this shit Fenir is getting closer I can feel it. Well I'll get with the elders, this doesn't concern you. THE FUCK IT DOES! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND YOUR ASS CAN BE KILLED ALONG WITH YOUR DEFECTIVE MATE! I growl deeply standing up. She's not defective. SHE IS AND YOU KNOW WHY AND YOUR ASS ISN'T GOING TO DO SHIT ABOUT IT! YOUR FATHER WOULD BEEN HANDLED THIS SHIT, STILL DON'T KNOW WHY HE PUT YOU IN CHARGE OVER- ."SHUT THE FUCK UP!!" I shout out loud ending this fight amongst my mind. "Aurlk?"....

Scarlet POV

I look at my youngest son with his hands moving away from his face staring back at me. I slowly approach him, when I get close I lift my hand up to the side of his face wiping his tears away; "Aurlk, you ok baby?" I ask him with concern, he rubs his eye with his hand and pulls away from me; "yeah mama I'm fine" he mumbles.

I let out a sigh and really look at him, I can tell he's exhausted and over worked. I lay my hand on his shoulder and pull him towards me; "Are you sleeping ok?"

"yeah I'm fine"

I grab his face and pull it towards me squeezing it; "Boy don't you lie to me..." I give him a stern look and reach into my pocket, I grab his hand and put the two pills from my hand into his; "Take these, Don't protest either" He hesitance for a moment before tossing them in his mouth...; "What are these a supposed to do?"

"Clear you mind from that demon of yours" He shows a quick smile and then darts his eyes away from me; "umm is ok that me and Liz stay here for a while?" I smile at him kissing his cheek; "For long as you want sweetie...Now come on..." I pull on his hand pulling him towards the house; "I know your exhausted you need to take a load off, there's towels and wash cloths set up in the bathroom already annd-"

"Do you have any food?" I smile at him happily; "I'll whip something up in the kitchen"

-few minutes later-

I put a plate full of roast beef in front of him and he looks up at me. I raise my eyebrow at him; "What?"

"You know I only eat raw meat" I glare at him; "So what you're not going to eat?" I put my hand on my hip leaning on my foot; "uh well no I'm-" I pick up the knife, spin it in my fingers, and point it at his throat; "If your black ass don't fucking eat everything that is on that damn plate..." he slowly moves his head back and grabs the knife off of me; "How the hell did dad stay alive married to you for all those years?" I show a side wise smile towards him and sit down next to him; "Because I'm a bitch who gets what she's wants" He lets out a laugh and begins eating. I sit in silence watching him, after a minute he looks over at me with a mouth full of food; "what?" I shake my head and lean back in the chair; "What did you say to her?" He swallows his food and opens his mouth to talk but closes it for a moment; "I don't know..." he says stabbing the roast beef..."you're a pretty bad liar you know that right?" We both spin around to see my oldest son Rufus leaning against the door fame; "I thought you left" I say to him standing up; "Well I did, until I sensed him" he points at Aurlk causing him to quickly stand up; "You want to continue that fight or what because that's reasonable the only reason you came back" Aurlk says walking forward towards him, Rufus follows suit moving with a smirk across his face; "Oh sounds like your challenging me"
