Chapter 28 Scarlet POV

-Flashback-
“So, what do you mean you’re leaving?” I stand behind my husband who’s packing a backpack sitting on the bed.
“I told you Scar that I have to leave, it’s to protect you and our kids from any danger!” He turns around and looks at me and I cross my arms at him.
“You act like you’re not the only powerfully one in this family Sköll, I’m here too..and if Fenir thinks he can come here and lay his paws on my fucking children-”
“And that’s why I am leaving so I can protect you” He says interrupting me and walking towards me.
He wraps his arms around kissing my lips; “Scar it is a man’s job to-”
“It is a male’s job to take care of his family, blah blah, cut the bull” I say with a mocking tone; “We both can protect our children together, like what if you leave and something happens to the pack huh? Then what? Or or if someone comes to the house and you're not here”
He groans at me and lets go of me. He then grabs my hand and pulls me over to the bed and sits me down; “Well looky here Scarlet, Ms. Goddess…That is the reason I married you, because I know you can handle all of it”
I raise my eyebrow at him; “You think I can raise two werewolves’ boys, with one being a mega”
He smiles at me; “You basically raise my mega”
I roll my eyes; “Oh shut up you fool”
I kiss him on his lips for a moment then back away, “So are you leaving tonight?”
“These a few things that I have left to do, but I leave tomorrow night”
“What do I tell the boys?”
“That I will be gone for a while”
I glare at him; “And that’s it, nothing else, yeah how do you think that’s going to go when they get older?”
“Your smart, figure it out” He says to me with a smirk across his face, and I retaliate with punching him in his chest.
“Look Scar there is varieties of reasons why I married you and wanted you to have my children”
His smirk fades and becomes serious; “I married a woman who is beyond the term of powerfully, who is a Goddess, and I know you're scared that when I leave and you're raising two young boys without a father, also the pack will be under control of my betas until Aurlk is old enough to run it”
I let out a sigh leaning against him; “Do you know how selfish you sound right now”
I say looking up at him, He then looks down at me with a smile; “Little rude”
“yeah, I know, so we're still not going to tell them that your Sköll God of sun and I’m Sarina Goddess of all wolves”
“Well they're going to figure out who Sköll is, but you need to keep your identity a secret…I don’t want no one coming after you when I’m not here”
I scoff at him; “I can take care of myself, just worried about the boys is all”
“Yeah, I know, but they’ll be fine”
I lean up and kiss him on his cheek and then lay down in his lap; “I’m going to miss you”
He lays his hand on my shoulder and rubs it; “You’ll hear from me every once awhile, can’t tell the boys though”
“Why not?”
“Just do what I tell you and you WILL be safe”
“But what if-”
“Sarina!” He growls at me squeezing my shoulder.
I sit up and glare at him; “I’m not scared of you…But you sure as hell better be scared of me” I say to him with a snarl, he just smiles at me and kisses me on my lips; “That’s the woman I married”
I smile back and we place our foreheads against one another; “I love you Sarina”
“I love you too Sköll”
“Mommy?”
I pull back from Sköll and look over at my five-year-old son Aurlk standing in the doorway holding on to his stuffed kola-bear I smile at him; “Yes baby?”
“Can I sleep with you guys, I can’t sleep”
“Oh no, boy! you are way too old to be sleeping with your parents”
“Sköll…” I glare at my husband then turn back around to Aurlk; “Yes baby you can sleep with us, but just tonight then you're back in your bed”
He smiles big at me and rushes over and climbs on to the bed. I lay him down where I sleep while Sköll moves his bag on to the ground, closes the door, and then turns the lights off. He comes back laying down next to me and wraps his arms around me and Aurlk;
“Night momma, night daddy”
“Night baby” me and Sköll say in unison.
We all soon fall into a deep sleep expect I’m interrupted of dozing off by the sound of the door creaking open, I just smile to myself when I see Rufus sliding his way into the bed on the other side of his brother; “I told you not to watch that movie” I whisper to him while he turns and looks at me; “don’t tell dad” he whispers back; “I won’t, night sweetie”
“Night”
All four of us buddle together in mine and Sköll king size bed in the middle of August, was perhaps the closest my family has ever been….

Sköll POV
I look over my pack watching over the young pups along with my sons training to hunt. I sit still and listen in to the conversion of the lead hunter Ruther.
Third Person
“Alright pups’ verbal examination before you all began your first hunt” Ruther the main lead hunter speaks silencing the pups. A young feisty pup named Lincoln growls jumping up to his feet.
“Mr. Ruther sir, why do we have to say what we are going to do and not just go and do it?”
Ruther looks at him and walks over to him; “Boy what are you talking about?”
“My dad said you just have to go in and hunt because you always have to be prepared no matter what situation” He stands back puffing out his chest towards Ruther trying to be intimidating.
Ruther looks side eyed at the kid and walks away and circle around and comes back; “Ok pup...”
“My name is Lincoln”
“Your name is pup, shut your snout…Now who’s your father?”
“My father is the leader of the warriors, who lead the his old pack the Arctic to victory against-”
“Blaze, yup got it…what’s the changes I’ll be teaching his descendant” He walks away from him and clears his throat; “now then let’s begin the actually lesson!!.... Spot!”
A small pup being known as the runt of his litter rushes to the front of line with his tail wagging and his eyes full of determination.
“Yes Sir!?”
Ruther gives him a small smile and then turns serious; “What’s the first thing you do when a hunter is in sight?”
“umm, depends sir..”
“Depends on what?”
“Depends on if they are at a radius of 40 feet or 20 sir”
“What do you do when they’re at a radius of 15 feet?”
“ummm you-”
He’s quiet for a movement and Ruther loses interest and looks at the other pups; “Who knows what you do when a hunter is in a 15 radius feet?”
……….“At 15 feet you drop down to ground”
“Who said that?”
Ruther walks though the pups we create a path that leads to Aurlk who was sitting quietly in the back.
Ruther lows down to his level and looks at him with a frown; “Was that you pup?”
“yes sir” he says to him in a quiet voice.
“SPEAK UP!” Ruther barks
“YES SIR MR. RUTHER SIR!”
Ruther comes back up from Aurlk’s face and smirks, he then walks back to the front having all the pups turn back around to him. He then sits down keeping his eyes on  Aurlk; “What do you do after dropping to floor?”
“You warn other wolves with a snarl and growl that danger is nearby, and then you keep low until the hunter is out of range to leave the area unharmed”
“What do you do before you head off into a hunt with other wolves?”
“you make a distance in where you meet up if there is danger or where you have collected your offerings to the pack”
Ruther nods at him and then moves on to another male pup.
Aurlk looks up at his father sitting on the peak of the Alpha’s den looking down at him, His father notices him and nods his head, a sign of approve, with response from Aurlk wagging his tail and a smile.
“Aurlk! let’s move were heading to the meadow!”
“yes sir!” Aurlk looks back up at the peak one more time, but his father is around gone, so he hurries and catches up with the rest of the pups in training.
Sköll POV
“I told you for the last time..He is going to run pack and that's finally! NO NEGOTIATING!” I yell at my beta who sits and looks at me with silence.
“Damn Sköll can you not tear your 5th beta apart?”
I spin around to look at Lucas one of the elders of the pack.
“Lucas, due me favor and tell him my mind is already set on having Aurlk as my heir for the pack” I explain to him and he nods his head. He then looks over at my beta, Jay, and motions his head to the exit. After he leaves he motions me to follow outside to the ledge of the hill. I sit next to him and look over the pack with the sun just setting.
“Sköll have you taken into consideration that your son, is a mega”
“I did, and I am a mega, and there is no problem”
“Well, you have a mate who knows how you tick...he doesn't”
“He will have one, Sarina made sure of it”
“Well is she a goddess like her?”
“No, but something like that”
He looks at me with look of anxiety, but sighs and turns his face into a smile; “Well can never doubt Sarina”
“Yup…well better get home with the boys before she rings my neck”
“Haha that's Sarina for you”
I nod my head and smile at him and jump off the cliff. And began to walk to the meadow until Lucas calls my name.
I look back up at the cliff; “Thank you for marrying my daughter” I nod at him with a smile then take off to find my boys!
