It’s been roughly over a month since the instance of that awkward night. But the next day Tyler and I sort of acted like that that night never happened, so things went back to the way things were. Which I was glad of.
Today I was going to be going to NESN to do an interview with Tyler. And Bree decided to tag along.
“Does this dress really look fine?” I asked.
“Yes Lauren. Why do you keep asking me that?”
“Because I’m going to be on TV and I want to make sure I look good.”
Bree laughed “Yeah for Tyler.”
I looked at Bree “No.”
She rolled her eyes “You are such a liar. Ever since the night you and he almost kissed you guys have been flirting nonstop.”
“We are not flirting with each other. We’re just really…..good friends.”
“Yeah that are pretending to be girlfriend and boyfriend for the media.”
I laughed “We are having fun watching the media have a frenzy with it. But it’s not like it’s true.”
“Come on Lau! Your team and me can see that you two have the hots for each other.”
I shut the engine off “We’re here.” I said as I stepped out of the car.
Bree huffed and trailed behind me. I looked at her “Why are you so mad? Your boyfriend is going to be here.”
“Brad is not my boyfriend.”
I smirked “You guys have been seeing each other for over a month and you’ve been coming to practically all of our home practices and when we are on the road you two text each other like crazy.”
“So that doesn’t mean anything.”
I laughed “Someone’s in denial.”
“Well it looks like I’m not the only one in denial about my feelings.”
I just ignored Bree’s comment. We walked into the building and one of the producers directed us to the film studio. Once we got there Bree smiled when she saw Brad.
“Hey Brad!” She blushed
Brad smiled “Hello Brianna. You look gorgeous today.”
She looked down on the ground and giggled “Thank you.”
I just laughed and walked on to the set to see Tyler. He looked up and smiled at me “You’re wearing a dress?” He said as he looked me up and down.
I took the seat next to him “Yes and you’re wearing a black tee. Classic Seguin.”
He threw his hands in the air “I’m a classy guy.”
I chuckled and that was when NESN anchor, Randy Scott came walking on to the set. He came over and greeted us “Wow. It’s great to meet you.”
I smiled and shook his hand “Aw. Well thank you for having me.”
After Tyler and he shook hands, he sat down in the seat near me. While I was getting mic’d up, one of the cameramen called out “We’re going live in ten.”
The woman who was micing me ran off and I just looked over at Tyler and smiled before looking away.
“Welcome to NESN Daily everyone. In the studio today we have Bruins players Tyler Seguin and Lauren Armstrong.” Tyler and I just smiled and Randy went on to say “Now this is your first time here Lauren.”
