My team skated around down our end of the rink while the Canucks skated at the other end. As we were taking shots at the net, Nathan skated beside me “Are you sure you want to play in this game?”
“Of course I do. Why are you asking?”
Nathan sighed “I don’t know but I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen today.”
I chuckled and placed a hand on Nathan’s shoulder “I think that you’re nervous.”
While Nathan was taking I zoned out when I saw something in the distance. I looked more intensely and saw that it was a puck and heading towards Nathan and I.
I quickly grabbed Nathan by the jersey and pulled him down as we both fell to the ice. As soon as I did that the puck flew passed us and hit the plexiglass, causing the fans there to let out a little scream.
“What the hell!?” Nathan yelled.
Our team now surrounded us and as Krejci helped me up, Lucic asked “What happened?”
I looked down the Canucks end and saw Weise and Burrows smirking. The adrenaline and anger began to pump through my body. Without even thinking I skated down to their end of the rink. I came to a stop when I reached Weise and Burrows.
“I think you’re on the wrong end of the rink sweetie.” Weise said
“This is our rink and both these ends belong to us. Now which of you dumbasses tried to hit me and my teammate with the puck?”
As of right now, the Canucks stopped practicing and skated over to me and their fellow teammates. I looked behind me and saw that my team was skating over to where I was, but I placed my hand up and told for them to remain where they were. They listened and gave me a little nod. I turned back to the Canucks.
“So? Who shot the puck?”
“I did. But it was not intentional, the puck just slipped through my fingers.” Weise’s smirk grew wider.
I chuckled a bit and skated closer to Weise “It not that hard to believe since you’ve only scored two goals this season.” Weise’s smirk disappeared and he was now narrowing his eyes at me.
“You should get out of here.” Burrows said as he stepped in.
I looked at Burrows, “Aw why? Is someone mad that I just insulted your teammate?”
Burrows moved closer to me “You better watch that mouth of yours. You have no idea who you’re messing with.”
I scoffed and locked my eyes on Burrows “No. You have no idea who you’re messing with.”
I turned around and as I was skating I came to a stop and looked at Weise. “Yo Wessel!” I called out.
Weise turned around and that was when I slapped a puck towards the Canucks. The Canucks ducked down and as they looked at where the puck was, they saw that it was in their net. They all turned their heads back at me and I smirked.
