I got out of my car and began to walk into Ristuccia Arena. I took a few pictures with some fans before entering the building. The halls were silent and all I could hear was my shallow breathing as I stopped in front of the guy’s locker room. I closed my eyes and knocked on the door.

“Come in.” Someone called from inside.

I opened the door and all the guys looked up to see me. “Can I talk to you guys for a second?”

Chara nodded “Sure.”

I leaned against the wall and looked down on the floor “I came to apologize to you guys.” I looked up at them “Last night was uncalled for and my attitude was disrespectful. My playing was horrible last night because my mindset was still focused on my breakup instead of the game. And I know that all you guys were trying to do was help me but I was so messed up that I didn’t see that. So I’m sorry for being the biggest bitch ever and not showing you guys the respect that your teammate should be giving you.”

The guys all looked at each other and Horton said “It’s alright we accept your apology.”

I looked around the room “Really?”

The guys all smiled and shook their heads “Yeah we do.”

I smiled “Thanks guys and….” I went into the hall and got something “I got munchkins!”

I placed the box of 100 munchkins on the table in the center of the room and the guys all cheered and got some. As the guys were eating the munchkins I looked around the room and didn’t see Tyler.

“Where’s Ty?” I asked.

“He’s skating.” Marchand said.

I nodded and walked out of the locker room before walking to mine.

I placed my jersey on and as I approached the rink I saw Tyler slapping pucks into the net. I sighed and walked onto the ice. “Hey.” I said

Tyler ignored me and I just shook my head “Look Tyler I know that you’re mad at me after wh-“

“I’m not mad at you.”

I was a bit surprised “You’re not mad even after all the crap I said about you?”

Tyler looked at me “That wasn’t the Lauren I know who said that stuff. Besides you are dealing with a lot and I understanding why you acted the way you did last night. But can you promise me something?”

“What?”

“If there is a personal problem that is bothering you, can you at least talk about it and not hold it in.”

I shook my head “I promise that I’ll talk about it.”

Tyler nodded and as I was about to take my routine laps around the rink Tyler said “Wanna play a game?”

“Sure.”

“Alright come with me.” Tyler skated to the other end of the rink with a bucket of pucks.

“What are you doing?” I asked as I followed him.

Tyler set the bucket down on the ice before looking up at me “We try to shoot the puck into the net on the other end from here.” Tyler saw me roll my eyes since I knew that this was going to be an easy game, but he smirked as he continued to say “But the catch is we have to try to shoot backwards.”
