[7] Gone wrong

"Oh, goddammit!" Rob raged while Jerome smirked. I sat on the couch as I sipped coke from the straw.

After getting both Mr and Mrs Latsky's permission to have a boys' night (as Rob and I called it), we literally robbed the whole Walmart just for the chips and the sodas. People ignored us as we went to the cashier. Well, it's just some teenagers getting more chips for their storage boxes of chips. And in the end, Rob and I ended up hauling everything that we just got from the store back to our house.

Jerome got himself a pack of Doritos as Rob continued to rage. I ate from my stack of Pringles, lying across the couch as I crunched in the crispy texture. I winked at Jerome as I gave him a thumbs up. He laughed.

"Rob! Twenty bucks! You lost!" I yelled over the noise we are making. The neighbours are going to complain but who cares?

"Damn it," Rob cursed as he threw his wallet at me. I took more than twenty. "Mitch, put that back..."

"BUSTED!" I screamed as I threw the wallet at his face as I ran with the fifty bucks in my hand. Rob and Jerome chased me around the house as laughter filled in the remaining silence.

After 45 minutes, Rob finally got hold of me. Who am I kidding, he plays basketball after all, his stamina is good.

"I'm tired," I panted as I laid on the soft grass. Rob and Jerome followed my actions as they breathed madly like dogs. I ignored them as I stared up at the blue sky (Sky. Huehue), white clouds floating by occasionally. Looking at the sky made me forget all my worries, my misery, my depression, my life. It was peaceful, and I missed that feeling.

"Maybe we can hang out more often," Rob murmured as we continued to gaze at the sky.

"But where?" I asked softly, not wanting to disrupt the peace.

"Sometimes our house, sometimes Jerome's?" Rob took a quick glance at Jerome. Jerome's breathing suddenly stopped.

"Jerome?" I broke my gaze and looked at him. He seemed pale. His body went stiff. That's not good...

"Rob? Rob!" I pushed Rob as he sat up quickly. Jerome's eyes were shut. His breathing returned, but it was soft. I checked his pulse. It was weak.

"Fudge! We have to go to the hospital!" Rob ran into the house as I tried pulling Jerome up. He was damn heavy, I couldn't carry him. In the end, I ha to pull his arm and drag him down the lawn awkwardly in order to make him move an inch.

Rob was ready with his car as he hopped down to help carry Jerome. After settling him down, I sat at the backseat with Jerome's head on my lap, constantly checking for his pulse and breathing to make sure that he's alive. Rob was murmuring prayers as he scanned the road quickly for Ang signs of traffic.

Finally, we made it to the hospital. Carrying Jerome by his head, I backstepped into the hospital entrance. The receptionist saw our emergency, and called for doctors and nurses. My heart was beating wildly as I let them carry Jerome away and into a room for checkup. I hope he's safe.

But what happened?
