The lights came into my eyes. I squinted and squirmed.

Figures hovered above me. They came and went. After my vision started clearing, I looked at them, expecting Jerome.

They were all doctors. I started to panic.

"Jerome! Where is he?" I looked around the whole room, hoping to see Jerome, but there was no sign of him.

"Jerome Aceti?" A doctor asked. I nodded frantically, clutching to the bedsheets tightly.

"He's-"

The door flew open. He came in.

"Mitch!" He screamed, his worried look replaced by an overjoyed one. He rushed towards my side, and hugged me. I hugged back, the heart monitor beeping quickly.

"I thought I'd never see you again." Tears flowed down his face. The doctors left quietly, giving us space to have a little chat.

"Mitch, Rob's..." Words are stuck in between his throat as he couldn't choke it out. I nodded sadly.

"He sacrificed for us," I looked down at the white bedsheets, blinding my eyes.

"He'll be in a better place," Jerome looked out of the window, watching the leaves of the tree swaying in the wind.

"Well, at least we still had Adam," I grinned. He stared at me like I was mad. "What?"

"You do not want to see his disgusting face," his eyes were opened so wide that I swore it's going to pop out of its sockets soon.

"Why? He's our friend," I said, staring at Jerome weirdly.

"Don't you know tha- wait. You were in coma. Whoops," he mumbled, his eyes glued to the heart monitor instead of me.

"What did he do?" Fear clutched my heart. The monitor sped up.

"Adam..." Jerome looked dead into my eyes.

"He was the killer eleven years ago " his hands trembled.

"Adam was just a fake name." Jerome continued.

"His real name was Ashton."
