"We're joining," a voice from behind made me unplug one of my earbuds.
"What?"
"Didn't you hear what I said?" Rob sassed. I punched him playfully.
"Nice to know there's someone behind to support me," I grinned and continued to listen to "Demons" by Imagine Dragons. A plate of fries was shoved into my hands. The waft of fried potatoes was rising into my nostrils. However, I wasn't hungry. I pushed it away.
"Why? They're the best! Even if they're hospital food..." he shoved some into his mouth as an evidence. I shook my head. "No appetite?"
"Just worried about Jerome," I sighed. Rob sat down, still stuffing fries into his face.
"It's not your fault, you know?" Rob said.
"Yeah, I know. But I fee-"
"No, please. Enough of this crap." Rob stopped me. "Yes, I know. You're worried and you care about Jerome, but you have to stop blaming yourself. Yes, Jerome is gone, and he's probably being tortured now, but think positively. You've tried your best, didn't you? The video shows. You distracted Jerome's dad from getting him, and you shielded him, so I don't see why Jerome would hate you. You tried. Jerome knew, I'm sure. You can't just sit and think about Jerome all the time. You still need energy to save Jerome. So eat. That's an order," he stuffed fries into my mouth.
"Wow, Rob. Didn't knew you could be this deep," I took the fries and chew on one. Crispy. It's still ok, although I prefer McDonald's better.
"Nah, I just want you to eat." He pushed the rest of the plate to me. I rolled my eyes. He smiled as he watched me eat the remaining fries.
"Let's think of the plan, shall we? After all, you pulled us into this..."
