Mark sat alone in his house. It was 11:57pm on Christmas Eve, and he was drunk off of eggnog. All of his family members were either dead or simply disgusted by him. They still couldn't understand why he ever decided against being an engineer, and as of late, Mark wondered the same.

Suddenly, there was a knock on Mark's door.

"Who the hell could that be at this hour..."

He opened the door to find a man looking around the same age as he was. The man wore a black beanie, a flannel tied around his waist, and a nervous smile.

"M-may I come in?" He stuttered.

Mark stood there, dumbfounded, as the shy, stuttering, absolutely gorgeous hipster awaited a response.

"Uh... Yes! Of course! You'll have to forgive my rudeness. I wasn't expecting any visitors."

"That's a bit... Peculiar..." The man said quietly.

"I mean, it's Christmas. Where's your family?" He said a bit louder, seeming concerned and confused.

"I... I have no family..." Mark said, smiling so that he wouldn't break down.

"O-oh! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to offend you!" The man quickly apologized.

Mark smiled.

"It's alright. Please, come inside." Mark stepped aside, allowing the stranger entrance.

"Thank you. You have a very nice house."

"I'm glad you like it. Would you like anything to eat or drink?"

"No, I'm fine, thank you."

All was calm until the stranger looked at the clock, realizing it was a mere minute before midnight.

"Where's your washroom?" The stranger said, panic in his voice.

"Down the hallway on the right. It's the only door that's open."

Without even a "thank you", the stranger ran to the bathroom, slamming the door behind him.

That was rated strange... I hope he's alright...

An hour later, the strange man hadn't come out. Mark was beginning to get worried, so he walked and stood in front of the bathroom door.

"Are you alright?" He called.

No answer.

"Hello?"

No answer.

Before he could call out a third time, he hears something that startled him.

There was something scratching the door on the other side, trying to escape.

Terrified, Mark ran and grabbed his pistol. He wasn't taking any chances.

He opened the door slowly, stepping back to allow the mystery creature out.

A tiny, ash brown cat appeared. It walked towards Mark, rubbing itself on his leg and purring like crazy.

Admiring the cute cat had completely distracted Mark from the missing stranger. He walked into the bathroom to realize all his clothes were discarded on the floor in a pile.

The kitten followed him, purring the whole way. It nudged Mark's leg and seemed to say "follow me".

The cat lead him to the front door, scratching at it and meowing in a whiny tone.

Mark picked the cat up to open the door, a somewhat sad expression on his face. No sooner than he did, there was a huge cloud of green smoke.

The same stranger then stood before him, but this time he was completely naked. For the first time, Mark saw his cat ears, tail, and green hair.

Mark never knew he was staring until the stranger blushed a crimson red and covered his manhood. After realizing the other's nakedness, Mark also blushed.

"Sorry!" Mark said, turning away.

"Please don't return me to Master!"

The neko started crying.

Grabbing a nearby blanket,  Mark held it out for the other man to take.

"If you hurry and cover yourself, I'll do my best to console you.." Mark said, trailing off as he realized the awkwardness of the situation.

"O-ok. I'm decent..."

Mark turned, walking towards the neko and holding out his arms.

"What's your name?" He asked, petting his head.

"My old master named me Jack, but I think my name is Sean..."

"Ok... So, Sean, why don't you want to be with your... Er... 'Master'?"

Sean told a heartbreaking story of abuse, rape, and slavery.

"You poor guy..." Mark commented.

"Could I... Could I stay with you?"

"Of course! We could both use some company."

"Yay!"

Sean licked Mark's face, purring and smiling like crazy. Mark blushed from the outburst of affection, though he didn't mind it.

Mark got a neko for Christmas, and Sean got a new home and a better owner.
