The others seemed reluctant. Mark was the first to verbally express his thoughts.

"Even if we wanted to save him, which I believe some of us are still undecided about," a few of the others nodded, "How would we even find him? I mean, it's not like we have a tracking device planted on him."

"That's very true," Jack agreed, "but we're smart, kind people. We can figure out how to save him. And we do want to save him, even if he is a huge douche."

"Jack's right. He may be a douche, but... But..." Bob said, struggling to find genuine positive thoughts about the man.

"But he's our douche." Felix finished.

"That he is." Mark admitted.

"Alright then, it's settled. Now... Anyone have a plan?" Jack questioned, frustrated by his lack of one.

There was no response, aside from the occasional "no", "not a clue", or "give me a minute".

Jack rubbed his temples, sighing. They didn't have much time, and they had no clue what to do. Then Carrie spoke up.

"We need to split up."

"Are you insane?" Mark asked, using a rather harsh tone that steadily grew in volume.

"We were all together, and look what happened to Wade! And you think something better will happen if we split up?! I take it back, you're not insane. You're just fucking stupid."

"Mark, don't take it out on Carrie. She didn't-" Bob started.

"What didn't she do? She didn't just say some stupid shit? Because she did. Were you even listening? Or could you hear her over your fucking gut?"

"Woah, calm down, bro. Everything will be ok." Felix tried.

"Everything will be about as fine as that fucking beard of yours!"

"Why thank y-"

"It wasn't a compliment! And another thing-"

The sound of skin meeting skin filled the bedroom. Jack stood, hand burning, in front of Mark.

"Shut up. It's not their fault and you know that. You aren't yourself right now. So I suggest you sit down and calm yourself and return back to the sweet, level-headed Mark we all know and love. Ok?" Jack spoke calmly, lowering his hand from Mark's cheek.

Holding his cheek, Mark managed an "ok" before walking, dazed, over to the bed.  Jack moved his attention to Carrie.

"Are you alright?"

"I guess..."

Jack wasted no time. He pulled the girl into a hug, kissing her forehead lovingly. He released her, grabbing her shoulders and looking her in the eyes.

"You're like a little sister to me, Carrie. If anyone ever hurts you, send them in my direction."

He hugged her again and she sniffled in his arms. "Thanks, Jack."

"Please, call me Sean."

"Ok, Sean." The girl giggled.

After the two exchanged warm smiles, Jack went over to Mark.

"I'm sorry I slapped you."

"I deserved it. No need to apologize."

"But I did. So... Accept it." Jack said, laughing a bit. Mark kept his head down.

"Are you gonna respond to m-"

In one quick movement, Mark stood, turned, pulled Jack closer by his arm, grabbed his face, and tenderly kissed the Irishman's lips. A series of "Aww"s came from the back of the room, and, noticing, the two quickly separated. They were both blushing furiously, and Felix had to disrupt the awkward silence.

"Oh, don't mind us. Keep kissing. We knew this was gonna happen way before you guys did."

Carrie and Bob agreed, and Jack and Mark looked at each other, looked back at their friends, and laughed hysterically. They kissed again, smiling against one another.

"Sean, will you be my boyfriend?"

"Is Sam green?!" The Irishman screamed, which was his normal volume.

"Yay!" Carrie chirped. They all laughed at her enthusiasm. All except for Felix, who was squealing with excitement (as Septiplier was his favorite ship).

Amidst the laughter, there was a knock on the door. Terror tore through the brimming happiness of the room like a knife. Mark had already started for the door when someone pulled his arm.

Jack was frozen in place, terrified and praying he wouldn't lose Mark. Felix, still holding onto Mark's arm, whispered, "Stay with Jack. He's so scared for you he's trembling. Hold him. And get the hell away from this door and whatever is behind it. Please."

Mark nodded, thanking the Swedish man with a grim expression.

Felix stealthily advanced towards the door. His fingers grazed the cold metal of the doorknob, giving him the urge to shiver. He turned it quickly, stepping aside as soon as the deed was done.

A yellow, decaying bear with monstrous teeth was standing in the doorway, his right side hidden by the wall. He reached for Felix, missing, and stumbling forward.

He had an unconscious Aaron in his right hand.

He dropped the Brit, shoved Felix, and moved right past Bob and Mark. He was never reaching for Felix, nor was his aim off.

He had been reaching for Carrie.
