Carrie screamed as the animatronic approached her at an alarming speed, though truly any speed of a living animatronic was alarming. Jack was quick to act, proving that his previous speech of protecting Carrie was genuine. He dived in front of her just as Nightmare Fredbear's hand got to about a foot away from her. The animatronic picked Jack up by the neck. He kicked and choked, but to no avail. The room was filled with the noise of Jack's struggling, gasps, and Mark's distinct scream as he cried fresh tears.
"Jack! No!"
Fredbear threw Jack onto the bed, advancing still towards Carrie. Before anyone could react, Fredbear had picked her up. However, he didn't pick her up by the neck; he picked her up with both hands and cradled her like one might do to a small child. Still terrified, she screamed. The men stood there in a panicked confusion. Then, the animatronic spoke.
"Carrie, are you ok?" It's gravelly voice rang out.
"H-how do y-you know m-my name?" Carrie stuttered.
"Please don't be scared. Look."
Fredbear handed her a locket.
"J-... Jerry?"
"Yes. I'm sorry I let you down..."
Carrie hugged the animatronic. When she noticed the looks of confusion on the others' faces, she explained.
"Jerry here is my cousin. I guess we know what happened to him..."
"Well I sure as hell don't trust him. He hurt Felix and Jack." Mark chimed, realization hitting him. He turned to the bed. Bob glanced over to see Felix beside him, holding his arm.
"Jack!" Mark ran over, placing Jack's head in his lap and stroking his cheek. Carrie tensed.
"Why did you hurt him and Felix?"
"I didn't know they were your friends. I'm sorry..."
"Then why'd you bring Aaron back here? He's the only one who's actually caused Carrie any harm." Bob pondered aloud.
"He wasn't in the same room as my young cousin."
"Fair point..." Jack added. Mark turned back to him.
"Are you alright?"
Jack sat up.
"I'm fine. Are you alright now, Carrie?"
She nodded.
"You won't be for long~" an eerie voice chided. The group looked around frantically. There was an evil laughter originating from an unknown place. Felix slowly realized the closet door was yet again closed and, fearfully, he neared it. He opened the doors quickly, stepping aside. Foxy ran out and towards Jerry.
Jerry fled from the bedroom, Carrie still in his arms. They were chased all the way to the front door. Jerry opened it with a (somehow) free hand. He stared into the vast nothingness, Carrie's face nestled into where his chest would've been.
"Nowhere to run, Fredbear~" Foxy called out, backing Jerry further towards the pit.
"No... But there's somewhere to jump."
And with that, Jerry and Carrie hurtled into the pit, exploding into virtual pixels.
In the bedroom, Mark had closed the door behind the trio. He'd also moved Aaron into the bed, watching as Jack gingerly dabbed at the Brit's forehead with a scrap of clothing he'd ripped from his shirt. Mark even felt a bit of jealousy. Bob and Felix were checking all other dark places in the room for precaution. They all paused when a virtual box appeared directly in front of each of them. The box read:
GAME MASTER,
TWO VIRTUAL CHARACTERS HAVE FALLEN TO DEATH. REBOOT FILES?
YES NO
"Virtual characters...?" Felix thought aloud.
Suddenly, the option "no" was selected.
"The hell...?" Mark questioned.
Aaron's unconscious figure glitched from the bed to an upright position near the door, where he slowly "awakened".
"Carrie and her cousin weren't real. They fell into the pit, anyways. And I made Bonnie kill Wade. Which one of you would like to be next?"
"W-what?!" Felix asked in disbelief.
"You idiots. I am the Game Master. I brought you here. And, as my name implies, I control everything in the game except you. And honestly, one might say I control you as well." He laughed maniacally.
"Why are you doing this?" Mark asked, wishing to be closer to Jack.
"For you, my love. I will have you. Even if I have to kill everyone around you until I'm the only one you have left to love."
Mark was frozen, Jack shivered, and Bob and Felix were gawking at the Brit's every word.
"Don't believe me? Let me demonstrate."
Just then, Foxy came running in yet again. He ran towards Bob and Felix, slowing a bit almost as if choosing between the two. He drove his hook through Felix's stomach, twisting it into place and lifting the small blonde. He ran the same path as before, down the hallway and towards the front door. It was still open from earlier.
He ran straight through, Felix screaming and trailing blood and saliva the whole way. Suddenly, the remaining four all got another notification.
GAME MASTER,
ONE VIRTUAL CHARACTER AND ONE SUBORDINATE HAVE FALLEN TO THEIR DEATH. REBOOT ONLINE PERSONNEL?YES NO
Aaron -openly this time- hit the "no" option.
