I sat on the stairs reading the only book I thought was appropriate, The adventure of Sherlock Holmes.

Ezekiel comes down almost tripping over my outstretched legs talking about the all the living deads he was going to marathon. Jacob criticizes himself do we all stand up as the Clippings book goes off, but not our individual ones.

"There's a giant rift in the earth near Ringer Oklahoma." Cassandra tells Eve and Jenkins when they walk in.

"Mysterious rift in the earth. I call poltergeist Lany and I got this." Ezekiel says and grabs my hand pulling us to the door.

"Why me?" I ask him.

"Because we need some alone time." He says then smirks at me and I hit his arm.

They all then talk and I set up the door to Oklahoma. Ezekiel and I both open the door and we all run through as Baird yells at us to leave.

We fly through a porter potty almost running into protesters.

"Native American burial grounds? Three words: Pol-ter-geist!" Ezekiel says as we are let through the gate past the protesters.

The construction worker shows us the way and we all walk towards where the rift is supposed to be. Suddenly we stop and Jacob asks where the foreman was.

"I don't know haven't seen him since this morning!" One of the workers shout at us.

"Where's the nearest bar?" Jacob then asks.

*~*

"What makes you think the foreman is going to be here?" I ask as we enter the nearest pub to the dig.

"Just a hunch," Jacob says.

"Great well you tell him your the archeology expert, we need to stop the dig, then we get in there and see what magic is up to." Cassandra recites and Jacob just turns her down.

"What the hell you doing here?" A man in a cowboy shirt asks.

"Hey pop," Jacob says and everything becomes clear. They then go off and banter for a little while we stand back. Jacob waves us forward and we step closer. "This is your expert pop. Dr. Oliver Thompson. This is my dad, Isaac Stone."

"Nice to meet you sir." Ezekiel starts off. "Jacob here is our field assistant, a fine man if a bit of a blunt hammer." I elbow him in the ribs slightly.

"Who's the pretty lady?" Mr. Stone asks pointing to Cass. She gets snarky about the comment then he turns to me. "And you?"

"She is my best intern. She probably knows more about this then I do," Ezekiel improvises.

After a while of talking about the rift, we pull aside to talk about what we were actually going to do.

"Pop we got to get down there and take a look," Jacob says turning around.

"Take a look? What you trying to do?" His dad asks and turn back to us.

"I'm trying to do my job," Jacob says annoyed.

"So this is what you turned your back on your family for?" His dad scolds and my first instinct is to punch is nose, but I hold back. "Fine."

We go back to the dig and Jacob helps Ezekiel with his helmet telling him to take a close look at everything. When he goes down I take a seat on the steps not really able to put my skills to use here.

*~*

"So we're dealing with a shapeshifter?" I ask Jenkins as we all sit in the Annex listening to his presentation. Except for Jacob, Jacob was no where to be seen.
