CHAPTER FIVE

Octavia made a short pit stop back to her room to grab the essentials that she didn't grab before the meeting. As she opened the door, Octavia braced herself for the guy that she was with on the past night.

As she opened the door, there was no sign of the guy. Octavia smiled to herself before walking to the bed and reaching under for the bag that she had used in other battles. After grasping it, she yanked it out and threw it onto the bed. Octavia had no idea what she needed for the mission she was about to embark on, so she grabbed what she would need on other expeditions she's previously taken apart on.

Octavia scrambled around the small apartment for the next twenty minutes, grabbing anything she believed would be necessary. As she threw the bag around her shoulders, R2-X2 came barreling out of one of the rooms. "X2!" Octavia muttered before falling to her knees in front of it. "I'm going on a mission. I'll be back soon. I promise." She smiled.

The droid squealed loudly in agreement before Octavia was racing out the door. She was told to meet at Cassian's ship by two and it was already ten minutes past. Octavia sprinted as fast as she could, dodging all the people in the crowded hallways. It took her a total of five minutes to reach the ship.

When she arrived, Octavia leaned on her knees and heaved breaths in and out. A woman around her age was siting at the entrance of the ship, giving Octavia a weird look. "I thought I was going to be late. . ." Octavia mumbled before straightening her posture and stepping inside of the ship.

There wasn't much that Octavia deemed necessary, but she still opened her nap sack and began to take out the few things inside. As she was doing so, K2-SO broke the silence. "Oh you're coming with us." Octavia looked up to see the droid speaking to the girl beside her. "I don't think that is such a good idea." Octavia sighed before closing the backpack and placing it in one of the corners of the ship. "And neither does Cassian."

"K2!" Octavia said. K2 threw it's hands up in defense as Octavia took a seat next to the girl. "Don't listen to him. He's full of crap." Octavia said, offering a smile.

The girl looked up at Octavia and smiled back. "I'm Jyn Erso."

"I know." Octavia paused. "I mean- I'm Octavia Malfoy. Pleasure to finally meet you."

Jyn opened her mouth to continue the conversation but was cut off by Cassian walking over and pulling Octavia to her feet. "Octavia. Why did I go to your apartment and see a man wearing nearly nothing inside?" He asked as they were out of hearing rang of everyone else.

"Oh, that guy? Yeah, i have no idea." Octavia said, crossing her arms over her chest.

Cassian sighed. "You have been back for less than a week and you are already starting these shenanigans."

"What do you want me to do, Cassian? Do you want to stop being in an open-ended relationship?"

"Yes! That was the whole reason I pulled you over here!" He said in a hushed yell.

"Fine! It's settled." Octavia said before turning on her heels and walking back to the ship.

That was normally how Octavia and Cassian dealt with things. They would get mad for no reason and then end up making out. It was because neither knew how to deal with their own emotions, but that's okay. Because they had each other.

The rag-tag team took off from the base, but not before Octavia said goodbye to Cael. He was very reluctant to letting her leave, but she wasn't taking no for an answer. "I'll miss you." He had said to her.

"And I'll see you soon." She replied to him with a smile.

On the ship, Octavia and Jyn talked most of the way to Jedha. That was, before Jyn fell asleep. After they were put into hyperspace, Octavia laid her body horizontally on one side of the chairs. She sat there and turned her blaster around in her hands, examining the little things. Like the large gash in the side from when she got into a fight with a Jawa over who knows what.

All of Octavia's thoughts ceased when the ship began to descend downwards, towards the ground. She scrambled to her feet and rushed over to the window, looking down at the city of Jedha. A smile crept to her face as she looked at the sun reflect off the small buildings.

Cassian brought the ship to a smooth landing a little ways away from the main city. All four of the team stood outside the ship as Cassian had a pair of binoculars pressed to his eyes. "The imperial ship is taking things out of the city." He said to everything.

"What are they taking out?" Octavia asked, looking at him. He rolled over and handing the binoculars over to her. She took them and pressed them to her eyes, rotating her wrists to make them zoom in. Smaller ships were flying up through the sky and into a larger one.

Octavia sighed before taking the binoculars and handing them over to Jyn. Cassian stood up, and walked over to wear Octavia was standing. "I have something to do in the city. We are going to go inside so I can get it done."

"Wow. Foolproof." Octavia mumbled. Cassian rolled his eyes at her, a small smile on a face.

"Alright." Cassian clapped. "K2, you stay here. Wait for my call."

K2 created an unhappy noise as the three humans began their journey to the city.

haha sorry the ending sucked. but i finally got my computer back, so that means that more chapters are coming at you later! hope you liked the chapter.

also, i made their relationship into a "normal" one. their backstory will be explained later! it's pretty juicy lol.
