Runaway hero

Five

After running across the roofs I was getting tired. I started to slow down. I collapsed on a roof only to be picked up? Who picked me up? I slipped into the darkness.
I woke on a cold table. I was strapped down at my arms and legs. I look to the side of me to see a table. On that table was multiple syringes with multicolor liquid.
"Ah your awake. Good now we can start." A man said. With that multiple people with lab coats came in with gloves. I took deep breaths calming me down.
'Who are you?' I asked.
"My name is Dr. Oscar and you are my subject." And with that there was a pinch. I look at my arm to see one of the syringes with purple liquid. I can feel the burning sensation through out my body. I screamed with pain. They kept inserting new syringes and injecting them in. They kept doing so until all were in my system. I ran out of sound on the third injection. And now I can barley keep my eyes open. I can feel my body adjusting to all the serums they injected in me. My body is stretching in length. My muscles burn as they are enhanced. All of a sudden I have energy like I can never fall asleep. I lift my arms up breaking the straps that once held me down. I take off the straps that held my legs off. I sit on the edge of the table. Then the door opened. A man walked in the room looking into a folder. Not noticing that I'm awake and not detained. I hop off the table and stand as if I am a soldier. The man looked up and saw me. He looked at the broken straps and then to me. I now stand at a towering height of 6'4. I was at the height of 5'5. I ran towards him at alarming speed.

I ran and ran back to New York. I found the little shop that I helped earlier. I walked in and she saw me. I pointed to her office hoping i can talk to her.
We walk in the office and sat down.
'Hello' I said scratchy.
"Hello what can I help you with?" She said.
'Do I really look that different?' I asked.
She looked at me and a look of realization came on her face.
"Oh my what happened to you. You look like a giant." She said.
I laugh and look at my lap. I look back at her.
'I was abducted. They put 16 other chemicals in me that enhanced me. I broke the bondages that held me down and escaped. Now I don't think I can sleep anymore with energy I have. I feel like I'm the energizer bunny. However I came to ask if I can help in your shop during the day for exchange of food and water.' I said.
"Ok I can do that. What about at night?" She asked.
'I'll be helping the people of New York during that time. You may give me a name during the day so that your not calling me by runaway if you like.' I said to the women.
"Okay I will call you Becky then. Can you start today?" Said the women.
'Yes Boss' I said mock saluting her.
She laughed and through me an apron. And ushered me out. I took orders and went to the counter and started fixing the orders. This is a new start of my life as a superhero called the runaway.
