Working all day brought some joy to my life. It brought me something to do. At the end of the day I went out and did my thing. I heard a women's scream. I ran towards it. When I got there it was a teenage girl slammed into a wall. By a man.
I walked over and punched the man in the chest. The man flew in the air to the ground.
'Are you okay?' I ask the girl.
"Yeah thank you. What's your name. I go by the runaway when saving people. But I'll tell you what. I'll tell you my real name if you keep it a secret. To be honest I haven't gone by that name due to my abusive drunkers of parents I had. Promise me?' I asked her.
"Okay I promise." She said.
I can feel she was telling the truth.
'My birth name was Sammy' I said. 'I'm fourteen by the way holding my hand out to her.
"I'm Lizzie I'm sixteen. I was going home when this happened." The girl Lizzie said.
'Oh want me to walk you home?' I asked.
"Shouldn't you go home I mean your only fourteen." She stated.
'Well I live on the street. Well roofs. And I was experimented on yesterday. I can never sleep again thanks to them. I may never get a family that won't think I'm a freak. And I am kinda staying as far away from the government due to um them trying to get me back to my abusive family. Sorry you should go home I got others that are in trouble. That I need to help them out. It's my night job.' I said to the girl. 'If anyone asks just say the runaway helped you out okay. Remember don't tell my identity please.' I said. She nodded her head and started walking to the apartment complex that's down the street. I ran off into other alleys towards a family begging for someone to leave them alone.
I walk into the alley that the family was pushed into by a group of men.
'Seriously, your trying to hurt a family. Man if I had a family that cared for me like they do. So I'll give you a break you go back home or you will be waking up in a jail cell. So what will it be boys?' I asked the men.
They all turn towards me with guns pointing at me.
'Oh my nasty little burgers those are. Here let me dispose of them. I flicked my wrist and the guns melted in their hands. 'Now come at me' I said with a smile.
They all charged towards me I punched one man that hit the rest of the group. The group landed in a pile against the wall knocked out. I helped up the father of the group that had a bullet wound in the leg. I shook my head and got the bullet out. I then put my hand on his wound. He flinched in pain.
'Sorry about that. What I'm going to do is put some of my energy on your wound to heal it ok. But once I'm finished you need to rest it for a week. Then you can put all your weight on it the next week. What's your last name family?' I asked.
"Barton. We were just heading to the car to go home." Said the man.
I finished healing the wound on his leg. 'Are anyone else hurt. Did they take anything?' I asked.
"No it was just me and no we didn't give anything that's why they shot me. What's your name?" The father asked.
'I go by the runaway. I'm fourteen by the way.' I said putting my not bloody hand forward. He shook it.
"You ran away?" He asked.
'Yeah well my parents drink booze all the time. I had to find food by myself. And I was abused to the point of never showing up at school and got the cops called on me. Also I just escaped my kidnappers that experimented on me. Like come on do I look like a fourteen year old any more? Well anyways when the police comes just tell them the runaway helped you out. I got to go be careful Barton family. Children love your parents and try hard to understand what they try so hard to do. They love you so much I don't want to see a family broke off. Understand?' I asked. They nodded their heads in unison. I ran off to the ladder that lead to the roof. I watch them hug each other. The police showed up at the scene. The police looked at the pile of body's I left for them. Ambulances showed up and took them. The police took their statement and had a face of awe. I ran until the cafe was in sight. I ran to that roof and watched the sunrise. Until I saw Sophie the boss unlock the doors. I jumped down and walked in. Sophie turned around and saw me. She grabbed a pair of cloths and handed them to me. I changed in the bathroom and came back out. The tv was on the news channel. Oh great.
