Ouran, a pink academy filled with the rich and famous kids of society. I walked down the halls in search for my class. Flame orange hair spiked around my shoulders while my dog tags ticked to my steps. Hikaru and Kaoru, my twin brothers, had already arrived to their class Leaving me alone to wander around for mine. With a sigh, I ruffled the back of my hair and stuffed a hand in my pocket. "Seriously, do they need such a big school?"
Class 1-C finally came into view right as the last bell rang. I slid in and noticed that the teacher wasn't even there yet, now the students were just staring at me like I had two heads. "Aren't you one of the Hitachiin twins?" one asked, my eyebrow twitched. "No, I am one of the Hitachiin triplets. Do I look like one of my brothers with this figure?" The whole class was silent, Everyone taking their sweet time absorbing this bit of information.
The teacher arrived and smiled to me. "Ah, I see you made it. Class, this is Mina Hitachiin. She is a returnee from the states." I gave a half wave and headed for a free seat. Every girl in the class wore the same yellow dress. I wouldn't be caught dead in that thing. So, I wore a pair of ripped up jeans and a black leather jacket. Sneakers, bracelets, dog-tags and a burgundy bandanna were the accessories of choice. Not the usual "Hitachiin lineup" But it was my personal style.
All too slowly, my first day of school ended. I stretched and stood before walking from the room. There was a certain hobby that I was itching to find here in japan. Unfortunately, that would have to wait as my brothers came around the corner. "Mina, glad we caught you." Hikaru smirked, draping an arm over my shoulder. "Yeah, we kinda forgot to mention you to the host club." Kaoru added, mimicking my brother. I sighed and just went with it, hoping it wouldn't last too long.
There was a total of seven in the host club, of course that excluded the guests. Tamaki, the leader of this little group. Kyoya, vise-president. Haruhi, host club dog. (title given to him by Tamaki) Honey, the sweets master and Mori, the protector. There were my brothers, but who wants to count them? "What have we here? Such a lovely princess is held captive by a pair of devilish twins." Tamaki swooned, attempting to sweep me off my feet. I batted all boys away from my person and crossed my arms.
"Lovely club and all, but what am I supposed to do here?" I sighed, looking to my brothers for answers. Both shrugged in response. "How should we know?" Kaoru smiled while I pinched Hikaru's lips together. "Give a better answer than Kaoru and you will escape the pain I am about to give you." My gold eyes held his for a short moment before Hikaru raised his hands in surrender. "Y-you could go through the costumes in the back? I'm sure you could make something good with what's back there."
I stuck myself with the fabrics and shimmers of the costumes. Giving the club ample time to finish before I left the school entirely. Currently, I held up a single top that was a lovely shade of bronze. My thoughts were pondering what style I wished to bring out with this costume. "Medieval would be nice, though steampunk wound be a theme that hasn't been tried yet. At least not that I am aware of by the clothes here." I muttered to myself, turning the top around to look at the back. "Steampunk it is."
Going about finding the things I wanted was entertaining if anything, I was able to find exactly what I wanted for the most costume. Silver cups, elastic, leather, copper buttons, boots and elbow length gloves. I gave a smile and set to work, making goggles and other things needed for this style. "Mina, you in here still" Came Kaoru's voice as I stuck myself with the razor I was working with. "Fudge bats, Yeah!" I called, placing my injured finger in my mouth.
"Whoa, steampunk? That should go over well." My brother commented and he held his hand out. "We can go home now, club's over and so is the meeting." With a nod, I stood on my own and gave Kaoru a noogie. Sometimes, I loved my brothers. Other times I really wanted to run away from them forever. Hikaru joined us before I could leave. "I hope you can handle coming here everyday, though today was pretty mild." He grinned, ruffling my hair. The flame locks now stood up wildly. "I guess, but I'm going to the store and getting a few things first. Don't wait up!" And I was finally gone.
