Eoin and Maybe Riley Make an Appearence

Riley had given Beverly specific instructions about what she could and could not tell them. She could tell them that it had been during the time she spent with Seamus that she had started her plan. She could tell them that each one of them had played a part, unknowingly to the others. What she couldn’t tell them was anything about the final plan that was between Riley and Megan.

“I don’t know if I can tell you what you want to know. Riley had had this going since she was with Seamus and all of you are involved. No one knew about the inter-working until Bashir got nosey.”

Roman and Nico looked like they were going to protest Bashir knowing anything, but Beverly’s look stopped them cold.

“Please guys don’t even try. Do you think Bashir has the best intelligence group? Most of his men were trained by Riley’s group and then only about 75%. I could make a call right now find out what everyone had for breakfast and whether you were wearing boxers or tidy whiteys.” She walked over to the window and looked over to a Condo building across the street. The other 3 got up and looked at the window. “See that Condo building there? That’s Riley’s security center. You didn’t think she was all fluff did you? No, our girl Riley is a genius and a master at chess. Sorry to tell you Megan, but you are a shadow of Riley. You’ve done much in your own right and should be proud, even Riley was amazed.”

“Bart controls it, right?”

“Right you are Megan. He is number 2 there, but the brain is Riley. I’m sorry if I hurt you Megan, but I also want you to know that Riley has confidence in you. Now to another order of business, Nico, after your time with Megan you are to go to your family in Greece and stay there. Chase will replace you during this time.”

“I’d rather stay here, if you don’t mind.”

“I could care less, but Riley was insistent. She told me you would go or she could make you go. If you don’t, believe me you will be there sooner than later. Now I have more to do and Megan’s training must start immediately. Everything should be at the Hamptons now.”

Roman and Nico with Megan in tow left for Riley’s Hampton home. Turning Megan into Riley was going to take some time as they soon found out. She didn’t have Riley’s grace, but she would. It was like molding something and Roman and Nico tried to be patient. Patience lasted about a week. There had been fights over the clothes, too revealing. There had been fights about etiquette, too physically demanding.  At least some of it was easy she still had the voice, but that was the only thing; week after week until Eoin was 2 weeks from due date.

“So help me Roman, I’m going to kill Riley if she makes it back.”

“You are going to have to stand in line.”

“Uh Guys”

“WHAT!”

“Could you get Anne, I think Eoin’s water broke.” Anything having to do with the pregnancy was Eoin, not her body. “Could you call Bubba and Chloe too?” Megan sat on the first piece of furniture, a priceless Chippendale chair. Both Roman and Nico were statues, neither moving nor blinking. If she wasn’t in so much pain, it would be funny. “Guys, one of you needs to make some calls or you’re going to be delivering a baby!” That seemed to get them moving.

It took a short helicopter ride for Anne to show up and barely an hour later for Eoin to make his presence known to the world. Roman, Nico and Bubba were basket cases when Anne told them to go in. Chloe was holding the baby as the 3 men quietly came in to see their new Godson and son.

“She’s asleep right now. She wanted Bubba and Chloe to take Eoin right away, but I’m supposed to wait, that was my instructions from your friend Jacque.”

“Wait for what?” Roman asked as he and Nico became concerned.

“Waiting for me Ares and Mars. Jacque didn’t know if it would work, but it did and I have 5 minutes to hold my son and see you both. Please Chloe may I hold Eoin?”

Roman and Nico were stunned, Riley was here with them. Only they and her knew their pet names. They watched as she looked at her son with all the love she could send to him. “Chloe and Bubba if this takes longer than a year I have made provisions for you to adopt Eoin and I will be his Godmother. There will be no discussion about this. My loves, it will soon be time for Megan to leave you. Know that you are in my heart forever.

“As you are in mine,” replied Nico.

“And mine also,” Roman said softly.

They watched as her eyes closed and she fell back to sleep. Knowing that Riley was gone and Megan would be back.

When Megan was released she showed a new determination to get everything right. She absorbed all that Roman and Nico told her about the lifestyle. Beverly noted the new determination and was ready to give her ok for a night at the club when Megan came to see her.

“Megan is there some reason you have changed your participation in Riley’s scheme?”

“Yes, I met her briefly when she went to see Eoin. It was more like to energy fields passing each other. When it happened I saw what Riley had been up against. She always knew what was happening to me, but I never did. I was always afraid that this would end and I’d be gone. She let me know we would merge, if it all went ok.”

“Well, I’m glad something happened. Do you know what happens at the end?”

“No, I will know that when I see the Email and not before.”

“Just remember tonight you are Riley.”

“Oh, I don’t think Roman or Nico will let me forget.”
