The First Outbreak

Days without light

"Carrie do you know where we are?" I looked at her because she was in my arms I didn't want us to get seperated but she finally answered after a couple seconds "I don't know at all" we kept on going down the current until I saw light coming from the end of the tunnel but as we got closer it began looking like a drop off I didn't know if it was but I kept looking at it. Eventually we got close enough to where I could tell it was a drop off  "Carrie be ready" she looked at me confused "Is everything ok" she noticed I looked a little off so she looked ahead like I was and she saw the drop off and started asking questions "What are we going to do?.... How can we stay safe if we drop so far?..... Can we try and start staying still like go against the current?" She looked so worried and I felt bad because I didn't know what to say to her if it was that far of a drop we wouldn't be able to survive. We got up closer to it as the seconds passed and when we got close enough we saw it wasn't a drop off it was a slant that went at a straight angle down we couldn't see anything it looked like no light escaped. We started going down into the dark area. After we entered the darkness everything went quite I couldn't hear anything, I couldn't think, and I felt as if my eyes were closed. I was eventually able to see but it was as if I blacked out because from what it felt like I woke up in an underground cave /cavern and surprisingly I could see because there were glowing crystals in the ceiling of the cave/cavern

I was more or less fascinated with how there was an underground area below where we were staying up above I started to look around for Carrie because when I came to I didn't see her so I began to look around I eventually got to a part of the area and what I saw was quite amazing around the area I was and for some reason there was no sign of Carrie. After enough time of walking around I can across another part of the cave that looked like it was going to collapse.

I started walking into the newest part of the cave that I found and there was and arcat the end of the tunnel with another path I started heading down the path until I came across an area with am underground waterfall and then I saw Carrie she was standing on a rock out from the direction I was looking.

An for some reason her shadow was illuminating on the waterfalls current it was as if we were outside and her shadow was on a wall. It was all very strange to me and my vision had started coming blurred and I felt as if water was going down my face I felt my head but there was no blood when I looked at my hand but the area felt extremely hot maybe that's why she was standing where she was but all I knew was it was getting to the point where I was going to pass out. After a second or two of thinking I decided to walk into the water that was near my feet and start swimming around in it after swimming in the water for a moment I started to feel better I felt as if I wasn't going to pass out an as if I felt less stressed but what I thought really made me wonder [How am I going to dry my clothes] I began looking around the area while I was still swimming am I saw an ore vein along with some rocks around so I figured I would just make a fire that is if I could find anything to burn like wood or something else. Carrie had already seen me swimming by then and I guess she was waiting for me to look at her because as soon as I started looking in her direction she jumped in right beside me it kinda made me laugh but I was to relaxed to try an get her back I'll just wait until later but however there was one thought I couldn't shake from my mind an I kept thinking about it over and over through each passing second [Where is Seige an Mary?....Hopefully they are ok]
