In the Woods

Chapter Four

The bell rang signaling the end of the day and i had no idea what to do because Bella said she'll be running late. Only god knows how long she'll take until she arrives.

Not knowing what to do, I glanced around the school searching for people that seem friendly but much to my dismay my search had no results.

There was one guy though, leaning against a tree watching me carefully and i didn't need a second glance to realize that he was the guy from class earlier. I decided to go ask him "Why is he being such a stalker" even though he had every right to stare at the new girl but i believe rude comments can always be a start to a wonderful friendship someday.

Before i could drag my feet towards him something stopped me.

Or should i say someone.

"You must be the new girl" I heard a girl's voice behind me. "And you must be an old girl" I said as i turned around inorder to see her.

"Yeah well I'm pretty old over here, I'm Alison but you can call me Alis. Nice to meet you" She smiled extending her arm for me to shake.

"As in Alice from Wonderland?" I laughed shaking her hand.

"No as in Alis from here"
"Well, it's nice to meet you too Alice from here! I'm Emma from there" I said pointing towards a road.

A road that would probably somehow lead to the place i actually come from I don't know where that is but a feeling in my gut says it's somewhere close.

"So you'll be there?" Alison said catching my attention.
"What?" Was my only respone and judging by Alison's reaction she was talking for a long time while i payed no attention.

I tried to fix that "I mean, yeah ofcourse I'll be there' I had no idea what i put myself into but at least she smiled.

"Okay so give me your number and i should probably get going because my sister's my ride and she isn't a fan of waiting" She said handing me her phone.

I dialed my number and saved it as Emma. As we exchanged our goodbyes I watched her walk away.

Still there was no trace of Bella. I glanced towards the tree he was leaning against, i didn't find him but he suddenly appeared infront of me.

"So i guess I'm not the only stalker" He said and after hearing his voice... I was certain i know him or at least he knows me.

"You can't stalk your own stalker" I retorded.
"Well whatever, I wanted to ask you if you'd go out with me today"

I laughed. "Well ofcourse no, but what the hell makes you think I'd say yes?"

"Well you're new here and you don't have any friends yet so i thought I'd be the first and show you around town" He said and he looked a little nervous.

"That's really nice of you but maybe some other day" I replied feeling guilty.
"May i ask why?" He asked a little disappointed.

"Because i have plans today". As if on cue I saw Bella's car coming towards us. "And that's my ride" I said waving my hand and getting inside the car not waiting for his reply.

As i got in the car, I faced Bella to tell her how great my day was. She looked really shocked as she stared outside her window.

I followed her gaze and realized she was having eye contact with the boy and he was wearing the same expression as her.

"Bella? What's wrong? Do you know him?" I asked worried.

"No! He just looks familiar that's all" she said as she drove past him heading home.

I knew she was lying but i thought it was better not to ask her.
