Falling For You

Chapter nineteen: Last morning of grade ten

I walk to Alice's house to pick her up for the last day of school before summer break

I go to knock on her door but right before my wrist hits the door, the door flys open

Alice screams

"Kristin oh my god you scared me!!"

"Sorry... Didn't you know I was coming?" I ask

"Well yeah I guess but... Whatever let's go"

We start walking

"So how did your mom react?" Alice asks

"She was mad at first but then got over it.... But now is mad at me again..." I say

"Why is she mad at you again?"

I look at her "because I kissed James..."

Alice laughs

"What?" I ask

"Nothing... Why does your mom hate James so much?" She says trying not to laugh more

"I don't know"

She nods and we walk to school

"James!" I call

I'm curious of what my mom said when they left the room

He looks at me then looks away pretending not to notice me

"James really? Are you kidding me?"

He walks over to me eventually

"What?" He asks

"Why are you avoiding me all of a sudden?"

"I - I well your mom said not to hang around you anymore, she said she had to tell me cause she knew you wouldn't listen to her"

"And your going to? Come on James! Your just gonna ignore me now cause my mom told you to?" I smile trying not to laugh

James notices and starts to smile too then we both burst out laughing

"Okay okay I know I'm not going to listen to her... I can't not talk to you Kristin..."

"Aww would you miss me?" I say

He looks Down then back up at me

"Yeah..." He smiles

The bell rings

"Well I gotta go to my class..." James says

"Ditto" I reply

"Okay ill see you at lunch?"

"Yep bye"

He turns and walks away and I do too.

I walk into class and see the teacher isn't there yet and everyone is everywhere

I spot Mike and Katie

"Mike!" I say

"Yeah?"

"What did your mom say when you got home?"

"She was mad...like really mad, she thought I went missing and someone murdered me...."

"Wait... You didn't tell her you were leaving?"

"No she would never have let me go!"

I laugh.

God sometimes this kid is so stupid

"Mike you didn't say one thing to your mom or dad? You just disappeared after school one day?"

"Yeah pretty much"

The teacher walks in "everyone sit down now!!

We all sit

"I know it's the last day of school but you need to chill out for a couple more hours!"

How can we chill it's almost summer!!!

"We're going to watch a science video... You can watch it.... Or don't I couldn't care less!"

He puts on a video but no one watches it

The teacher sits at the front of the class, eats and watches the video

The bell rings

I get my books and walk to art

I walk into the class and sit beside James

"Hey James" I say

"Hey Kris" he smirks

I roll my eyes and put my books on the desk

"Okay guys it's the last day of school! next year you will be a year older and a year smarter!" My teacher says

I hear James mumble something

"What?" I whisper

"Nothing..."

I look back at my teacher

"Guys you may do whatever you would like to for now there is five minutes left of class anyways..."

"Hey Kristin after school meet me outside the front doors okay?" James says

"Why?"

"I just need to ask you something..."

"Why can't you ask me now?"

"Because! Why are you so stubborn?"

"I dunno I just was born like that!"

He laughs

"Okay I will meet you outside after school!" I say

"Good..."

Then the bell rings for lunch
