Sunlight beams flooded through the windows in the boys' shared bedroom, waking Harry calmly. Of course, Malfoy was already awake and brushing his teeth in the bathroom. He sat up and rubbed his eyes, vaguely remembering the dreams he had only a few hours ago.
"Had another nightmare Potter? Did you wet the bed?" smirked the Slytherin when he emerged from the bathroom.
"Fuck off Malfoy."
"Oh my, language Potter."
He wrapped his slim fingers around the doorknob, about the leave when Harry came to a realisation.
"Malfoy, how did you know I had a nightmare?"
Malfoy stopped.
"Get up Potter, you're not lazing around all day."The day went by slower than the day before. Mainly because the two enemies had nothing much to do apart from work. They did have the option to summon a board game or something else to do together, but the likelihood of them wanting to do something like that was almost as impossible as Vernon Dursley saying something nice to Harry. Snape was as tough as ever with the homework. Harry couldn't help but notice Draco doing the same paper as him, but of course, Snape had to change the questions to make it easier for the Malfoy.
Although, once or twice, Harry did notice Draco staring at him when he wasn't looking. But as soon as Harry looked up to catch him doing it, he either looked away like nothing ever happened, or gave Harry one of his deathly glares.
But that night, something extremely peculiar happened. When Harry was reading in bed, after just brushing his teeth, Draco came out of the bathroom. Instead of getting his night clothes on, he placed two fingers under Harry's chin, lifted it up, and moved his face close to Harry's again. But as soon as they met each others eyes, something clicked, connected, sparked. Only now did Harry really have a proper look at the boy's eyes. They were a piercing silver grey and reminded Harry of a half moon. A part of them were magical, radiant, calm, glinting slightly in the candlelight. But another part of them were slightly less serene. Harry could see a hint of mysteriousness and ghostliness. Even though they were ice cold, he couldn't help but feel a sense of comfort and warmth. He felt the Slytherin's hot breath against his cheek. making him shiver. Harry could see Draco's features as clear as ever. Smooth, delicate skin stretching over his perfectly sculptured cheek bones and jaw line so sharp it could kill. There were small droplets of water from the shower he just had rolling down his cheek and his white blonde hair was darker in patches from where it got wet. Only now did the Gryffindor realise how beautiful the boy before him was. Draco moved in slightly closer and tilted his head to the side. For one, tiny, tiny moment, almost as if it never happened at all, Harry had a warming feeling like they were going to kiss. But all Draco did to the black haired Gryffindor was wipe a slim finger across Harry's lip and said, "You had a bit of toothpaste."
