Chapter 2

"Hey, lo" Camila greeted, giving her a side hug, before sitting down next to her.

"Hey, Camz" Lauren smiled. "How's it going?"

"I've been better" Camila laughed, peeling her banana peel.

"Did something happen?" Lauren asked concerned.

"Do you even have to ask?" She questioned, talking with her mouth full.

"Ew, Camz don't talk with your mouth full" Lauren scowl. "And let me guess, Austin?"

"Sorry, I keep forgetting you like to be proper, sometimes," Camila says, wiping her mouth with a napkin. "And yea. Once again Austin is trying to win me back"

"I honestly don't see what you saw in him"

"I don't either, I must've been sauced up or something" Camila joked.

"Yea and while you were sauced up, you must've lost a bet" Lauren laughed playing along, nudging her shoulder with Camila's.

"Yea, yea then they forced me to date him" She laughed, causing Lauren to laugh as well.

"But no, on a serious note Camz I never liked him for you," Lauren tells her, all playfulness suddenly gone. "He was such a dick and he never said your name right"

"Yea, well that makes two of us," she says.

"Hey hey hey," Dinah said, sitting down at the lunch table with a tall dark skin girl beside her.

"Hey, Dj" Camila smiled. "Who's this?" She asked, looking at the girl.

"Guys this is Normani" she informed. "The girl I was telling you about" Dinah informs them with a big smile.

"Oh, the one in your dance class? Well, nice to meet you, my name is Camila" she introduces.

"Nice to me you, Camila" Normani polite says. "And you are?" She asked, looking at Lauren.

"..."

"Lauren, her name is Lauren," Dinah said, coming to her rescue seeing as Lauren was zoned out.

"..right, well nice to meet you, Lauren," Normani says giving Dinah a questioning look. When Normani wasn't looking at the trio, Dinah kicked Lauren under the table, snapping her out of her shocked state mouthing "What the Fuck?"

"I hope you guys, don't mind but I invited my friends to come to join us," Normani says, signalling for a short girl and a tall boy to come her way.

"The more the merrier" Camila said.

"Yea, the merrier the more," Lauren said, nervously not realizing she said that backwards. All heads turned to Lauren, looking at her. Normani laughed it off, while both Camila and Dinah hit her upside her head when Normani turned the other way.

"Lauren what the hell!?" Dinah whispered yelled at her.

"Yea, Lauren," Camila says. "What's up with you?"

"I told you, I would most likely make a fool out of myself," she tells them.

"Guys, I would like you to meet my friends Ally and her cousin Shawn" Normani introduced.

"Hey, y'all" Ally smiled, sitting down next to Dinah.

"Sup" Shawn says, sitting down next to ally.

"It's nice to meet ya," Ally says to the trio.

"Yea, same to you," Camila says, with a sweet smile.

"The pleasure is all ours," Shawn says to them, but mostly looking at Camila. Camila moved uncomfortably in her seat, noticing that he was looking at her. Lauren seeing a little movement, put her hand on Camila's thigh to calm her. she gave her a warm smile, which Lauren returned before going back into the conversation with the group.

"So, you are gay?" Lauren blurted out.

"Oh my god, Lauren" Dinah gasped, slapping her forearm. "You can't just ask people something like that"

"No, no it's fine Dinah really" Normani laughed. "But yes I am gay.. wait do you have a problem with that?" She questioned, becoming self cautious.

"Huh? What? No, no I am gay too" Lauren quickly says. "Like super gay, you know?" She nervously laughs, trying to make the situation less awkward.

"Oh my god," Dinah says, covering her face with her hand, shaking her head at her dear best friend.

While Camila on the other hand was trying to suppress her laughter.

"..um I-" Normani starts, not quite sure on what to say or do. "..Is she ok?" She asked looking at Dinah and Camila, as Lauren started to hit her head repeatedly on the table.

"Please forgive her, she's not normally like this" Camila apologizes, rubbing Lauren's back as she kept hitting her head on the table.

"She's less stupid dumb" Dinah explains to her. "It's just when she's around a pretty girl-"

"So, you think I'm pretty?" Normani asked looking back to Lauren, just as she stopped hitting her head.

"I-I do" she stuttered out, looking up at her.

"Well, so are you" Normani winked, causing her to blush.

"Yea, I agree," Shawn said, looking at Camila, trying to show her a charming smile, but it came off as a creepy one.

"Mhm," Camila said not caring too much about him.

"Hey, why don't you call me sometime," Normani says, writing her number down on a piece of paper, giving it to her. "I'll catch you guys later," she said leaving with ally just as the bell ranged.

"Aren't you gonna go too?" Camila asked, seeing as Shawn didn't make a move to leave.

"..um well..I know we just met, but you're really pretty and I was wondering if maybe, you would wanna go to dinner with me, sometime?" He nervously asked, scratching the back of his neck.

"Well, the thing is-" Camila starts.

"She would love to," Dinah says, cutting her off.

"Um ok, cool here's my number," Shawn says, quickly writing it down, before hurrying up to class.

"Why'd you do that?" Camila asked as she, Lauren and Dinah made their way to their next class.

"He's cute and he likes you walz"

"Ok, but I just got out of a relationship"

"That was a long time ago"

"Dinah that was just last week," Camila tells her, while Lauren was following behind the two watching Camila from behind unaware of her staring actions.

"Oh, whatever" she dismissed. "Look, if it makes you feel better Lauren is going with"

"Huh? What!?" Lauren yelled at her, snapping out of her daze looking at them.

"Yea, it could be a double date, that way it won't get that awkward" Dinah says to them.

"But-"

"Gotta get to class" and with that Dinah rushed off to class leaving the two.

"I hate her" Camila declared.

"Same" Lauren agreed. "So, I guess we're going on a date"

"I guess so"

"Well I'll catch you after school," Lauren said, walking away.

"Yea, see ya" Camila waved, going to her class.
