"Hey girly" Dinah greeted, walking into Camila's room. "Whatcha writing over there?" She asked, making herself comfortable on Camila's bed, looking at her.

Quickly Camila hid the journal under her school textbooks, pretending as if she was doing school assignments, trying to keep it out of Dinah's sight.

"Um homework" she lied with a smile turning around in her swivel chair facing the Polynesian girl.

"Riiiiight, sure you were" Dinah laughed, obviously knowing Camila was lying to her. "But no seriously what were you writing?" She asked again, throwing her feet on the bed leaning back on her hands.

"As I said, homework" Camila lied again, praying that Dinah would stop asking questions.

"Fine" Dinah shrugged. "Don't tell your best friend, who you have known since the seventh grade, what you're writing" she said with a sad look. "Who might I add took you under her wing when you were the new kid on the block. But yea ok, I get it. I'm not special enough for you to share whatever it was you were writing with me, am I?"

"..Dinah you know it's not like that?" Camila chuckled looking at her best friend. "It's just.. personal"

"But we share everything. What happened to best friends share secrets" Dinah said playing the best friend card.

"..how did you get in here?" Camila asked changing the subject, now realizing that Dinah was in her house without her going to the door.

"With the spare key that I took from the doormat", she simply said, looking at her nails. "Which by the way, isn't very smart or safe because a maniac could easily walk in," Dinah told her, meeting her gaze.

"What the- well too late for that" Camila mumbled to herself. "Hey!" She shouted when a pillow hit her in the head.

"I'm a maniac, remember?" She said with a mocking tone.

"Oh whatever, but what are you doing here?" She asked moving to her bed, laying down on her stomach.

"I came to ask lauser if I could borrow her bike" Camila gave her perplexed look while cocking her head to the side.

"What for?"

"..Well, you see I met this hot chick yesterday at the mall and long story short she said she loves girls who can ride"

"..so you lied" Camila laughed. "Classic Dinah"

"I don't think of it as lying" Dinah started. "I see it as pre-telling the truth"

"Whatever, but what happened to that guy at the party?"

"Who? Tony? Turns out he had an ex that he wasn't quite over yet"

"Oh"

"Yea, but so where's Lauren?"

"Ugh! She and Normani went on a date" she told her, flipping over on her back looking up to the ceiling. "And they've been gone for four hours now!" She exclaimed. "Like what could they possibly be doing for four hours straight!?"

"Whoa, Mila" Dinah chuckled. "Take a chill pill, why don't you? It's only been four hours and it's her first date since... Lucy"

"Don't even bring that bitch up" Camila hissed, sitting up.

It was about two months after Camila moved in with the Jauregui family and two weeks after she met Lauren's girlfriend Lucy vives. Lucy was the perfect example of everything a parent wanted in a young lady that was dating their child. She was the perfect girlfriend. She was responsible, respectable, nice, well mannered and was just an all-around American good girl. That was until Camila saw Lucy with some guy name Zachary kissing in his jeep outside in the school's parking lot. Camila at first thought her mind was playing tricks on her til she saw it yet again. She waited a week for Lucy to tell Lauren the truth. When she didn't Camila was the one to do it, and held a crying Lauren throughout the night.
