Ezra's POVWe all sat in the waiting room of the medical-wing. The medical droids were working on Zoe's collapsed lung. We just sat in silence.
"Dad?" Evie asked walking over to me.
"Yeah, honey?" I said.
"Will Zoe make it out of this?" She questioned.
"Yeah, she will." I said reassuring her and mostly me. The medical droid came out and we all stood up.
"She is stabilized and will make it." The droid informed.
"How long will she be out?" Zeb asked.
"It is unknown." The droid explained. My heart sank and everyone had disappointed faces on. "You can now visit the patient." The droid added.
We all walked in her medical room. She laid there in a coma her body fighting for life. We just watched as her chest rose and fell.
Alexander's POV
Guilt was flooding my chest. I sent messages to Zoe's com and every time I called she did not pick up. I was in my quarters laying on my bed. I can't believe I might have killed my own girlfriend. I laid and thought about how to contact her. Zoe please be okay. I need you alive.
Sabine's POV and two weeks later.
It had been two weeks since we saved Zoe. I was sitting in her medical room and reading something on torture. When I heard a light and weak groan. I looked at Zoe. Her eyes slowly opened but, widened in fear.
"Zoe oh my force! Zoe look at me." I said she was whimpering and turning her head from side to side. I dimmed the lights and sat at her side. She slowly calmed down. Her eyes opened and she smiled at me. I hugged her lightly. Ezra walked in with some water and sat them down. He saw Zoe and ran to her side.
"Zoe. I'm so sorry." Ezra apologized. She shook her head to tell him it wasn't his fault. I hit a button to call the mental healer like I was told to do.
"Zoe?" I asked. Zoe nodded and looked at me and Ezra. Before I could continue the mental healer walked over to us.
"Hello, I'm Nora and I was sent to check on Zoe Violet Bridger." Nora said. Me and Ezra moved to the other side of the bed. Then Nora sat on a stool near the top of the bed.
"Nora could you answer a question for me?" Ezra requested.
"Of course." Nora responded.
"Are you force sensitive?" Ezra asked.
"Yes, in the clone wars I was train to be a mental healer." Nora said. "Zoe I'm going to need you to relax and let down your mental shields." She instructed Zoe.
Nora's POV
After Zoe did as I told her I focused on her mind. Once I entered her mind I did some searching. I saw that she was traumatized by the torture that the Empire gave her, which I completely expected. I did some more looking and found something I didn't expect to find. She had true and fake memories and she had been tearing her mind apart. She also didn't believe she was home. She believed that she was still dying in the cell. I felt her mind going dark so I left her mind. I opened my eyes and saw Zoe drift off to sleep.
"So what did you find?" Mrs. Bridger asked. Now it was the hardest part of my job. Telling what's wrong.
"Extreme trauma, she has false and true memories that she has been going through and has ripped apart her mind and she dose not know she is home. She believes she is in an illusion about being home. She thinks she is still dying in the Imperial cell." I admitted.
