Chapter 11

Nina

"Come back", "come back now" is all I hear

I noticed I was breathing heavily, goodness, I couldn't even concentrate. I noticed the sun heating my flesh, but my body wouldn't take the commands I was giving it.

I knew I was awake but my eyes refused to open, same as my lips but I concentrated hard and I was still unable, gosh, it felt like I was trapped in my own body.

"Know-it-all" I said trying to yell, I did that five times when I finally realized, I could only hear it in my mind, so I decided to change it.

"Zach," I said my eyes flickering "This is not funny" 

I was angry at myself, it felt like I was talking to myself, I knew he was next to me, and somebody else was in here with him, I could sense both body heat, although there was one that was kind of cold, I ignored it and tried to get up.

"Show yourself" I yelled

finally! I got my voice back.

"Am right here, show off" Zach said "Open your eyes"

(Show off..., that was his nickname for me) 

I tried again and I finally did it, I opened my eyes. 

The place had red dust and sky, the scene in front of me seemed very familiar when it hit me a brick....., my dreams aren't exactly dreams.

I was seeing future events unravel

I looked around and I finally saw Zach

"Oh am so glad" I blurted launching towards him to give him a bear hug

"Why? Is it because you thought you'll lose me?" Zach asked confused cause I've never shown him this much kindness.

"No you asshole," I said before he realized the real meaning of why I said it 

"It's because am alive"

"Sure it is," he said using sarcasm

Oh no he didn't....that's my thing

I'll blast him once I get my energy back.

"Anyway, thank you for saving me; I guess I owe you huh?? I wished I couldn't have ripped its head off, stupid beast."

"Don't worry, Max and Jim did that" He said

"Can you thank them for me?" I asked

"You can do it yourself; your energy should have risen by now, although you're still weak on the feet"

"What-ever, I am just glad to not be dead" I said with a sign

Then I turned over to see Sky on my other side, his face filled with concern and sorrow, which confused me, this wasn't any of his faults, and he couldn't even look at my face, which made me sad and confused.

'Leave know it all'

'Why?? Oooh..., got it'

"I got to go, you know check up on Scarlett" Zach said, raising up, and then Sky's facelifted up to see Zach go, his eyes were red but they started fading to his electric blue eyes.

"What is it?" I finally asked, trying to fill the empty silence between us.

"I shouldn't have left you!!" he roared

"Sky, this isn't your fault," I said quite shocked he was mad at himself

"Yes, it is, if I had been there with you, you wouldn't be in this mess"
