Zach

Oh no, I knew they would come, but I didn't think now would be now!

I was with Scarlett in the library like usual, joking when I got Nina's message

'Zach'

'Yeah' I answered

'Help'

'What?' I replied unsure, I couldn't hear her properly, her voice was shaky and in panic.

'It's back' she finally said.

My heart beat quicken, it's back..., which only meant one reason, and our parents have caught up to us. I have to give them credit, they are good! Sorry back to the problem.

I was scared out of my mind, I quickly brushed of Scarlett's arms and started running, I knew I had to give her some explanation but I just couldn't bring myself to tell her, but her powers might help in this case.

"Zach?" Scarlett asked worried, she was thinking she had done something wrong, or said something, gosh, I can't leave her like that.

"Look..., it's not you, okay??" I said seriously "Nina's in trouble, you can come if you like but am going to run fast, try to keep up" I said and started running with inhuman speed as most will call it, but I have known it as my bionic speed, I finally found her door after searching endlessly around,

I opened it to hear a great shrill noise, wait, hold up, back it up, rewind, didn't we already fight this mutant, yes the one I talked to and it told us we were brave lads, goodness have mercy on the weak, I am so furious at that thing, it lied! Is it possible for a beast to lie? I am so stupid I should have analyzed it before, stupid, love got in my head. Now it's back, bigger than ever.

"Hey, nice to see you too, but if you don't mind, I could use some help over here" Nina yelled

She dodged its sharp teeth that were heading to her head, ouch that would have left a bad mark. She got back on her feet and blasted the beast, turned invisible and blasted, then turned visible again running up the beast's body to get the head but failed and fell to the ground, but quickly got up again and continued blasting which was the only thing that could stall the beast.

Scarlett left the room..., uh?? I have no comment for that.

I rushed to the beast and tried lifting it up, gosh this thing weight about 1,000 pounds or more if not mistaken, but I finally got a hold of it and grabbed its tail and swung it around with Nina blasting it with her power up, I finally let go and it crashed through the wall, ouch, now that will leave a mark.

The beast rose up again

Round two

Nina rushed over, only in her bra and jeans.... 

uh???

"Nina..., why are you partly naked??" I asked her

Sorry for sounding over protective but as her elder brother, it's kind of my duty to be.

"Look, let's just focus on the beast please!!" She said while panting hard

Nina was using a lot of energy and it got me worried, I don't want her to collapse when I needed her to finish the beast. But she was right we had to stop the beast.

I will deal with why she was like that later, someone was with her last night..., and I will find out who.

I tried getting into the beast's mind, putting my fingers onto my temples, trying to concentrate, this beast was loud, and I got in, however I did that, and I commanded it to relax..., now, usually if I do this, I would I have won the battle yeah? Well NO!! Not for this case, this monster was powerful, it came at me with inhuman speed, like lightening, you know??

Any way back to the story at mind, it came at me and crushed me under his big fat paw, its black eyes staring at me, then I saw the mutants spit coming from its throat, pinning me down, am guessing the mutant dog's spit was like some acid or paralyzing liquid...., this isn't going to be good, but I didn't let fear take over, I stopped fighting and waited for death.

"You better not think about dying, know it all" Nina yelled, which brought me back to reality.

Nina rushed to me, and arrived at my head, she stared at the beast, straight in the eye as she took her hand reaching towards the beast's face.

"Because am the only one allowed to do so" she said and then blasted the beast.

The outcome was good and bad. 

It was good because I wasn't crushed under the foot anymore.

The bad news was that I got cut with that sharp talons of the beast and Nina was thrown to the other end of the field that didn't have any grass. 

(Yes the same field I had my first date with Scarlett)

Talking about Scarlett, I saw her appear at the corner of my eyes with her bow and arrow and with the others. 

Max and Jim transformed into their werewolf form and starting running to our aid, Sky with his sword was by my side before I could blink, I guess the myth was true about vampires running really fast.

"Where's Nina" he asked, furious might I add but not at me, his anger was directed towards the beast, his eyes changing color to a deep red and his fangs came out, DARMM..., this guy was on fire!!

"The monster threw her, I wish I can see her, but she was thrown in that direction" I pointed, panting, Scarlett came beside me with her bow and the wolves where on either side of me, Marble with her staff, she must be a wizard. Then Kate who was just standing next to Max's wolf form.

Sky ran to the direction I pointed to, I lost his form after 20 seconds. 

I looked at my team and we charged at the beast without any other argument. 

 The beast was a very tough opponent, which I loved, I kept on calculating and forming ideas and plans, which the others took without complain, my physical skill cannot be used here, but I tried to enter the beast's mind again which resulted to the beast running towards me. 

I should really stop that, it really wasn't working neither was it helping our situation.

Scarlett stood in front of me and I saw this pale slivery shield, and I finally got to see her wings, they were beautiful, white as snow and her hair dangling, ah..., which made it even more dazzling.

"Don't stare at it too long, you'll lose your serenity" Scarlett warned

I quickly looked away and got up my feet; I rushed to the beast and gave it a good blow. That gave some time for Scarlett to shoot an arrow towards its chest and two eyes. The two werewolves bit the head off the beast and blood splattered all over us. Another shower for me.

I didn't mind though, I told the guys they did a good job and used my bionic speed to rush to the red dusty area where the monster threw Nina..., Nina, I vowed to protect her, I will keep it. With that I rushed to the area I saw her flying, if only our powers evolved to be flying..., my life would be a breeze

literally.
