Chapter 20: New Feelings

Olivia's POV

I turned away crying. I shut the door behind me and pounded on Kyle's door. He opened almost immediately. My mascara must have been running down my face. I was crying so hard. He didn't even speak. He pulled me into his apartment as soon as Connor was opening our door. 

Kyle pulled in for a hug. He rubbed my back, and let me cry. After I had stopped crying a little bit, he sat me on the couch. 

"Liv, what happened?" He asked. He had his hand on my knee. 

"Connor. Was making. Out. With. Another. Girl." I said in between sniffs. 

"So he was cheating on you?" He whispered. 

I nodded. "He probably has been for the past week too. I don't want to go back there." I launched forward and was crying on his lap. He rubbed my back gently. 

"You don't have to. You can stay here. I have another room with another bed. I can lend you some clothes and you just stay here. Stay here as long as you want to. No one else lives here." He said. 

I perked up, and wiped my eyes. "Thank you." I whispered gently. He nodded and got up. I checked my phone. Connor texted me multiple times. 

The babe <3- Liv, I'm so sorry. It was a mistake I love you. 

The babe <3- Liv it was just a friend I promise. 

The babe <3- Nothing was happening. 

The babe <3- Babe, it was just Alexa. Didn't mean anything. 

The babe <3- Okay, we did have a thing over these past few months. I cheated. I was just bored with our relationship, and Alexa could give me what I needed. I'm so sorry. please forgive me? :)

Past few months? How could he? I felt so betrayed. I thought he cared about me. I guess all those times he would go out without me, he would be out having sex with some bitch named Alexa. I needed to text him. 

Me- I'm not coming back to live with you. We can talk things over some time but I'm done for now. 

I went into my contacts and changed his name to just Connor. He was not my babe anymore. 

Connor- Liv please come back tonight. I need to talk to you so bad. 

Me- No Connor. 

Connor- Then where are you staying?

Me- With Kyle. He obviously cares about me more. Good bye. 

Kyle came back just then with a pair of sweatpants, a t-shirt, a pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream, and his laptop. 

"Okay, so here's your clothes for tonight, and then we can watch some netflix, and eat ice cream. My sister would always eat ice cream when she was upset, so I figured you would too." he said, setting everything on the table in front of us. 

"Thank you so much. Who's your sister?" I asked.

"Oh my sister's name is Shauna. She goes to school in Arizona. She's coming to visit next week. You two will get along." He said as he opened the laptop. "What do you want to watch?" 

"A comedy. I want to laugh." 

He searched through the movies when we came across The Hangover. We sat down and watched it. We shared the pint of Half Baked ice cream, and laughed throughout the whole movie. My phone kept buzzing with messages from Connor. I ignored them completely. 

When the movie was over, I went into the extra bedroom and changed into Kyle's clothes. They were a bit baggy, but that's because he was almost a foot taller than me. 

"Hey Liv, I'm going to bed, so if you need anything. I'll be in my room." He said, stopping by my room. 

"I think I'll be good. Thanks for everything." I smiled, laying in bed. He smiled and walked off. 

About a half hour went by and I was so scared and alone. This is only the second time I've slept by myself in bed. I was in a strange place and I was scared. I needed someone. 

I slowly got up from bed and went into Kyle's room. 

"Kyle." I whispered. 

"Yeah." he mumbled. 

"I can't sleep in there. Can I, uh, stay with you in here?" I said nervously. I felt super awkward. 

"Yeah sure. Come here." he lifted up the blankets and motioned for me to come. I went over and slid in. He slipped his arm around my waist. My body tightened at the touch. It felt different then when Connor had his arm around me. When Connor did, it felt almost harsh and uncomfortable. This felt nice and comforting. I fell asleep quickly after.
