There's A Thin Line Between Love and Hate

Skye's POV

Leo and I have been divorced for about a month now. It hurts me every single day that he won't be laying next to me, holding me, letting me know that he'll love me no matter what. What's worse is that I'm pregnant with his second child, and I can't raise it on my own. I need Leo. I need him more than ever...Please, I want him to come home.

Crap! I hate morning sickness! This is one of the many things I hate about being pregnant. Leo won't be here to make me some tea or cook for me when I can't do it myself.

Michael is away at college with Juliana, so I'm just here alone. With no one to help me. Just then, the phone rang.

"Hello?"

Michael- Mom! It's me!

"Michael, oh my god it's you! How's college?"

Michael- It's awesome!

"How are your grades!"

Michael- Terrible!

"What?!?"

Michael- Just kidding, mom. I'm doing great!

"Glad to hear that."

Michael- So how have you been holding up?

"I'm fine..." I said, trying to hold back the tears that were threatening to come out.

Michael- What's really going on mom?

"Your father and I divorced, if you haven't heard already, and I'm pregnant with your little brother or sister. But I can't take care of this baby alone..." I couldn't hold back my tears any longer.

Michael- Mom, don't cry...please don't cry! Everything will be fine, I'll come take care of you! I'll even quit school if I have to!

"No Michael!" I'll be fine!" Just get your education! I'll make it through this..."

Michael- I hope you don't mind if I ask you this, but who is he with now?

"Your girlfriend's mom, Olivia."

Michael- You're kidding right?

"Unfortunately I'm not."

Michael-Well I'll be there for about a week or so for winter break. Dad's inviting me to his fancy party that's tomorrow night. I'm catching a plane there now with Juliana. I'll drop by the house soon.

"Ok, and do you know what the party is for?"

Michael- Not a clue. All he told me was that he was going to make an announcement or something like that...

"Thanks Michael. Did he invite me?"

Michael- No, but he did say I could invite any 2 people of my choice. So I'm bringing you and Juliana. But he doesn't have to know. You can surprise him by wearing that dress you wore when he first proposed to you.

"Great idea, if I can still fit that dress..."

Michael- Ok. Love you mom.

"Love you too munchkin!"

Michael- Mom, don't call me that! Juliana's laughing at me!

"It's your fault for turning on the speaker phone..."

Michael- Bye mom!

"See ya."
