waiting.. waiting.. waiting..It was 10:15 and I was alone at Silks. My leg bounced nervously under the table, something that always happened when I got nervous. I wasn't nervous that Calum wasn't going to show; I understood that he was busy. No, I was nervous at the prospect of just meeting him.
My head snapped to the windows when I heard a loud noise. A crowd had formed outside of the building, most of it made up of teenage girls.
Well that would explain why he's late; he had to fight his way through a wall of fans.
The door was pushed open and three people walked in. Calum freaking Hood was looking around, for me. Life goals right there.
I shyly stood up and waved my hand to grab his attention. He noticed me, smiled, then turned to talk to the two guys he walked in with, who I assumed were his bodyguards. They gave him a nod in confirmation and he started to walk over.
"Okay, Michael, breathe. It's not that hard. You've been doing it your whole life, well except for that one time when you tried to swallow that block when you were four, but that's besides the point." I tried to calm myself down.
"Is this seat taken?"
I practically got whiplash from how fast I looked up. I opened my mouth to reply but no words would come out, so I frantically shook my head instead, gesturing to the seat in front of me.
"So, hi, Mikey," Calum said awkwardly.
"H-hi Calum." Where did that stutter come from? Curse you Calum Hood.
He smiled, "I like your hair."
I ruffled my hand through my hair, which was recently dyed black, "Thanks. I just dyed it yesterday."
The waitress came over to take our order, "Hello and welcome to Silks. My name is Jaz and I'll be your server today. Can I start you two out with drinks?"
"Um, can I have a Coke?" I asked.
"Is Pepsi okay?"
"I don't know, did something happen to it?"
Calum snorted as the waitress let out a confused, "What?"
I shook my head, "Yeah, Pepsi is fine."
She raised her eyebrow and turned to Calum, "Okay. What can I get you?"
"I'll just have a water, thanks."
"I'll be back in a few with those," she said before she walked away.
I awkwardly looked at Calum, "I don't think she likes me very much."
He laughed and it was even better in real life than it was in videos. Then all of a sudden it hit me that I was sitting across my idol, the Calum Hood. What I'm sure looked like an extremely creepy smile spread across my face.
I was shocked back into reality by a hand waving in front of my face, "Earth to Michael Clifford."
"Huh?"
"You were zoned out with this big Cheshire Cat smile on your face."
"Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to stare like that."
"No, don't apologize. It was cute."
I felt my face start to heat up and I covered my blushing cheeks with my hands, "You can't just compliment me like that, you jerk."
"Why am I a jerk? For telling the truth?"
I peeked through my fingers to see Calum looking at me playfully.
