Chapter 2: Retro- Mutagenesis

The Next Day....

Heroes Legion Mansion/Clubhouse Bunker/ Infirmary: February 4th 2014: 10:00 AM

M-Leader was deep in thought as he stared at the blood samples he had taken from Velocity and Silicon, examining the M-Genes found inside their blood cells, trying to find an answer to this latest enigma presented to him.

As if he didn't have enough on his mind already, what with his decision to come clean about Metahumans existence now instead of later when some lunatic with powers manages to do enough damage to get on a News camera or something of that nature and set off the nationwide panic that he and his allies had been trying so hard to avoid this past eight months.

So he had been busy the past week, thinking up how he and General Arcane were going to break the secret to the nation...and by definition the world.

So far he had come up with a possible approach that they could take when the time came.

But that didn't mean that M-Leader was 100% sure that

Either way, he wasn't going to try and do this until Stephanie Walker got back from the leave of absence she had taken to attend her nephews wedding in a small town off the Colorado River, "Riverton" he remembered correctly.

He wasn't going to break the masquerade without her, he had made a promise to her that when the time came she would be the one who would be given an exclusive...and he kept his promises.

Especially when it was regarding a woman as special to him like Stephanie was.

But even so, he wasn't entirely sure that this was a smart approach for him to take, it was a large responsibility and many things could go wrong than right if he was wrong about this approach.

But he couldn't be bothered with that decision or its possible negative ramifications right, he had a crisis on his hands here in the infirmary.

Silicon, Velocity and Robo-Warrior had gone off to that comic convention or whatever it was two days ago, and something happened there that had left both Silicon and Velocity bankrupt in the superpower possession department!

After coming back with Robo-Warrior, they had been placed in Quarantine until M-Leader could figure out what had happened to them both.

As M-Leader looked into the Electron Microscope there in the infirmary, his golden pupil free eyes widened in shocked surprise.

Their M-genes were still there in them, but they had somehow been rendered dormant again.

M-Leader then did an M-Ray scan with the small scanner device he had installed into the Electron Microscope a while back to make it able to be used to treat Meta-D.N.A if the opportunity presented itself like it had here.

M-Leader looked at the results that came back when the scan completed, and then grew very concerned indeed when he realised what had happened to his two teammates.

He then exited the infirmary with the results of the tests fresh in his mind, and gave a telepathic call out to the rest of the Heroes Legion who were upstairs, anxiously awaiting for him to call them to tell them exactly what he was going to tell them right now.

When the rest of the Legion had assembled themselves down here in the Clubhouse Bunker, M-Leader had released the two of them from Quarantine and now they were here in the War Room discussing what had happened.
