"Taco?" I heard from behind me.
I jumped. "Oh! Hey Uncle Philly!" I said getting up and hugging him.
"Hey Kiddo! I brought Tacos." He said holding up a bag of tacos.
I jumped in the air doing an air pump. "Yes!" I whispered.
Uncle Phil laughed. "Do you want to eat lunch now or when we get home because I am not gonna spend hours trying to pick lettuce off of Lola." He said as I grabbed my jacket and satchel from their hooks by the door.
"I swear Uncle Phil, if you could you'd marry that car." I joked putting on my jacket. "Let's eat when we get there, Aunt Irene said she wouldn't be back until later. Liz and Louis should be home by now. Liz and I are making pizza tonight." I said as I walked out of the lab with him following. After he walked out I made sure to lock the doors with my special key.
Not only does it lock the door, it covers the entire lab with a special vibranium shutter. But the key can't act by itself. I built it so the door and key had a sensor so that if anyone that's not me or someone I put in the database, it won't let them in.
"Okay, let's go." I said putting the key in my pocket and following Uncle Phil down the hall.
"So where are we today?" I asked looking out one of the many windows along the side of the helicarrier.
"I believe London." He said casually as we reached the deck.
"Nice," I decided to do my english impression. "I say, what a lovely automobile you have sir." I stated.
I could tell he was trying not to laugh. "Why thank you madam, I try to have the vehicle in tip-top condition." We both laughed. I went to the passenger side. "Let me assist you." He came over to my side and opened the door for me.
"Why thank you Sir." I said climbing into Lola. I buckled in as he ran back over to his side.
"Buckled up?" He asked.
"Aye aye Captain!" I said with a mock salute. The first time I rode in Lola I learned the hard way why we needed to be buckled up in her. I had flown out and I had scared the crap out of Uncle Phil when I had manipulated the air so I could glide next to him in the car. He made me promise to always buckle up when in Lola and to never do that to him again.
As we drove across the deck an Agent came out. "Sir! Urgent news!" He called. Uncle Phil stopped the car.
"What is it?" He asked annoyed.
As soon as I heard the news I jumped out of the car and began running to the edge of the deck. I jumped, not caring if the wind hurt my face, Uncle Phil calling my name, or the tears blocking my vision. My family needed me. I used the air and propelled myself to go faster.
I reached the house in record time. The house was covered in bullet holes, the door knocked off it's hinges, and windows shattered. I sped to the doorway and forced it open. I raced to the living room. Only to stop in my tracks.
On the floor lay Uncle Harold and Aunt Irene. Each with bullet wholes in their heads. I raced all throught the house. I reached Liz and I's room.
I fell to my knees. I let the tears flow freely as sobbs racked my body. "Nadia!" I heard from behind me I turned in time to see a HYDRA Agent behind me. I stood and dodged his bullets. When I finally reached him I ripped the gun from his hands and bent it with my strength before I grabbed him by his throat and slammed him against the wall.
"Where are they?!" I yelled.
"Where you will be soon enough, N." I heard from behind me. I turned just in time to be hit in the head with something hard before being injected with a bright blue liquid before my vision went black. I heard Uncle Phil yelling for back up as people flooded the house wearing that cursed octopus. "Uncle Phil Run!" I yelled just as I used what energy I had to send out a pulse that rendered the agents unconcious.
"I'm not leaving you!" He said as he ran to my side.
A couple of the agents were regaining conciousness. I pressed a flash drive I had hidden in my sleeve into Uncle Phil's hand.
Go, they have Liz, I'm going to go with them, don't tell anyone, not even Mom and Dad, Aria can help. I will record logs and send them so you know I'm okay, as soon as I'm ready I'll give you my coordinates. If you need me ALI is programmed into the drive. Just use your key. Now go!
I pushed him with a little of my strength. He went into the window and took one last look at me before he jumped. I heard a car approach but at this point the serum had overtaken my mind.
