Chapter 13: The Big one

NADIA P.O.V.:

     As we finished our episode of Avatar the last airbender Agent Hill ran in. "Fury needs you in the bridge immediately." She said urgently. We all stood and followed Agent Hill as she fast walked to the bridge. Agent Hill scanned herself and the doors opened to reveal Agents running around like chickens with their heads cut off, Director Fury glaring intently at the screen before him. "I have a mission for all of you."

(A/N: I'm not sure if this is actually how it went down but please bare with me here because it's going to be helpful later on in the story)

     I went into soldier mode. Fury turned to us. "Several minutes ago we were informed of a monster destroying an entire facility. He is now on the loose." I looked directly at Fury as he walked over to where we stood. "You're weapons have been prepped and placed in the jet along with your informatory files. You leave in ten, suit up! And Nadia." I turned to him. "Yes Director?" I answered. "You'll need this." He said with a smile as he handed something to me.

    I took what he offered and opened the wallet-like envelope. I gasped at what was inside. "A-are you serious Sir?" I asked quietly. "Yes now hurry up before you miss your plane." He said smiling. I smiled back. "Thank you Sir." I ran over and hugged him. I felt him tense then slowly return the hug. "Now go." He said still smiling.

      I left the others to get ready as I speed walked to my newly painted room to grab my suit. I didn't have to worry about any symbols because HYDRA decided not to put their symbol on the uniforms in case one of us were captured. I quickly changed into the skin tight suit and ran to the jet Fury told us we would use, but not forgetting to put my new badge in one of my suit pockets.

    "Young Lady are you cleared to be in this area?" An agent that obviously didn't know who I was asked. "Yes I am." I reply walking past. But this man was obviously not listening because he went to grab my shoulder. Unfortunately for him my instincts kicked in. I twisted my body and grabbed his arm before throwing him over my shoulder. I snapped back to reality. (Op there goes gravity lol okay I'm done now.) "Woops sorry." I said rubbing the back of my neck and walking away slowly. Other agents began to run over to where the agent now lays groaning. I grimaced before speed walking over to where Clint and Nat stood watching the ordeal.

      "You ready?" Nat asked ignoring what just happened despite the pride in her eyes. I nodded. "Yes but I need weapons." I stated in my soldier voice. She nodded hiding her shock at my sudden change in attitude. "There are some weapons over there." She pointed. I nodded and walked over to where she pointed. I observed the many weapons. I grabbed a weapons belt and began strapping weapons to myself. My weapons consisted of, ten throwing knives, 4 flash bombs, 3 pistols, 2 katanas, and several other things I don't want to name. I looked over to where Nat and Clint were finishing packing their own weapons. Clint had his signature bow and arrows. Nat had her widow bites, and pistols.

      We nodded at each other and I followed Clint to the benches while Nat kept walking to the cockpit to fly to our location. I sat on one of the benches and picked up one of the files. I was stunned to say the least.

     In the file there were pages upon pages of information about a man named Bruce Banner and how his father, Brian Banner, experimented on himself while doing work for the military and how the results of the experiments were passed down to his son. Dr. Banner Senior was arrested while his son went on and developed his already high intelligence. He went on to a nuclear research facility in New Mexico to research if gamma radiation was the key to the super soldier serum. During one test a janitor had wandered in and had gotten trapped in the same room.     Dr. Banner rushed in and got him out but before he himself could he was engulfed in a wave of gamma radiation. The gamma radiation mixed with the experiments his father performed eventually mutated his cells, allowing him to transform into a giant green man known as the Hulk. Dr. Banner turns into this only when he is extremely angry. Once he calms down he turns back to normal.
