I yawned as I looked over the list  of the materials I would need for the carbyne. I heard Aria walk in. "What are you doing still up?" I asked her. "I could ask you the same thing, what are you doing?"

After Aria got out the bullets-luckily they hadn't perfected the serum and the bullets are being tested now-Fury barged into the cafeteria and saw the blood bath. Of course I volunteered to clean the mess but then Aria lectured me on how I wasn't supposed to use my powers after sustaining 3 bullet wounds. At hearing this Fury ordered me to go get checked up on in the infirmary so I told them all I could heal myself and that I was going to my lab. And that's how I got here.

"Nadia? Nadia? Hello? Anyone home?" Aria said waving a hand in front of my face.

"Huh? Oh, sorry, zoned out again." I chuckled nervously. She rolled her eyes.

"Old habits die hard, huh?" She asked wryly.

I snorted. "No kidding, even the ones you hate." I muttered the last part.

She sighed. "No kidding." I looked over to see her half-laying on the work table. I got an idea.

"Hey Aria, come over here, I want to show you something." I said gesturing to my computer. She walked over and saw the carbyne research.

     "Pretty colors." She joked.

I rolled my eyes. "This is Carbyne, the strongest material on earth. I'm going to make a punching bag out of it." I told her.

She nodded. "So, why are you doing this?" She asked. "So when we want to let our anger out on a non-living thing, it won't break." I said calmly as I turned to the area next to the computer and wrote the rest of the materials on the list to send to Fury as a request, along with a detailed plan to control any mishaps.

I pulled the paper out of the notebook and got up. "Where you going?" Aria asked sitting up.

"To give this to Fury." I said as I began to walk out of the lab, waiting for her to follow. "And by 'give' you mean slip it under the door and run away before he opens the door?" She guessed.

I chuckled. "You know me too well." I shut the door behind her and locked it with the key Fury gave me.

We continued walking down the hall.

"Ok his office should be around this corner at the end of the hall." I whispered to her. She nodded. We turned and walked swiftly down the long hallway, with myself sliding the paper under his door. "Ok, now run!" I whisper/yelled. We fast walked down the hall before I heard an omnious. "What are you two doing?"

"Run!" I yelled as we began speeding away from a suspicious Agent Hill. We made it to the lab and locked the door behind us and hiding under one of the desks as we waited for her to pass. Her footsteps passed the lab cautiously. I took out my compact I had gotten when we went shopping and angled it so I could see Agent Hill looking directly at the desk we were under. She shrugged before turning and walking back down the hall.

I sighed in relief and turned to face Aria, who was 3 inches from my face doing her derp face. "Jesus!" I yelled jumping. She laughed. After she calmed down we stood. I sat backwards on my chair and Aria sat back down on the table. I turned to face her. "Ya'know, you never did tell me how you escaped." I stated, laying my arms on the back of my chair and laying my head on them.

She sighed. "No one can hear us, right?" She asked nervously. I pressed the button on my computer which turned of the audio on the cameras. "Not anymore." I said calmly. She layed back and crossed her arms over her stomach.

After you were wiped and moved to a different room, they replaced your bunk with a girl named Miranda. She helped us escape.

Flashback

It was the middle of the night, S had just gotten back from a beating and Miranda and I had been helping to clean her up and make sure everything was bandaged to prevent infection. After which, S passed out from the blood loss and pain. Luckily the guards had given us a blood bag, they didn't want one of their 'precious' experiments dying. We had managed to get the blood in her as safely as possible with what we had. Miranda and I came to the conclusion that we couldn't keep doing this anymore, so we used morse code to devise a plan to escape.

The next night when we were all in our cell, since the guards never beat us two nights in a row, Miranda had swiped the keys from the guards and hid them in her shirt-don't ask me where-and during the guard shift. We used the keys and we all used our abilities to escape. S used the water in the guards to knock them out, Miranda  used her telekinesis to destroy cameras and knock down doors we didn't have the keys to, and I covered the end and made sure nobody tried to sneak up on us.

We went to the armory and stocked up on everything we could carry that we thought we'd need and even some stuff we didn't. Anything that we thought we'd need to survive for a while on our own.

After we got outside S used the water around us to form a barrier to hide us from the human eye, but we had to avoid the light of course. Then when we reached the wall she made an ice staircase before unfreezing it and storing it in a couple canteens. We traveled for days throught the woods, surviving on things we stole from the facility, abandoned campsites, and things in the woods. After a week we had found an old abandoned mansion. We've been staying there ever since.

I was still confused about one thing. "How did you know I was here though?" I asked.

"Actually, Miranda managed to steal a laptop and when we got it set up with a fake alias, we recieved an E-mail, it was from someone who called themself Gadget. The E-mail told us where you were and that you were trying to find us." I was startled, who could've known I was trying to find them? Aria continued. "We decided that I would be the one to go while they monitored from home."

"Wait, Monitor?" I asked. "Does that mean?"

She nodded. "Yeah but I turned it off after a while cuz they kept bugging me about where exactly you were, if you were okay, and just complete random shit that fucking annoyed the shit out of me."

I laughed. "That sounds like you." I said chuckling.

Aria looked around. "This place is too... what's the word...?" I looked around and realized what she meant. "Sterile?" I suggested. "Close, I was thinking it could use more color." She suggested. I laughed. "Yeah, maybe Fury'll let us add some throw pillows and a bean bag." I joked. We laughed.
