"Wait what?" my mother had to repeat her self as I was in complete and utter disbelieve.
"Were moving."
I sat there next to my brother, eyes widened and mouth slightly agape. I was totally loss for words. What could I say? 'oh great just ready to drop everything and leave my life here'.
"We leave in three days"
My father continued. I didn't want to move. especially not countries. I was crushed, and I could not believe my parents are only telling me about this now. How could you not tell you child that your moving!?! Then again if they did tell me, I would already have made some big deal of why we should stay here in Vancouver. I would also throw a fit and lock myself in my room. okay so now I understand why they did not tell me.
"I'll start packing!"
My brother exclaimed, a little to happily for my liking. he turned to me and stared at me with his big brown eyes and a huge grin plastered on his face. why he was excited to move? I have no idea! maybe because we are moving to a place where everyone plays Football. Yup we are off to America.
Still in shock I let out a small "uhmm" turned and walked upstairs to my bedroom. once I got there I shut my door and sat on my bed. just absorbing the place where I have lived a majority of my life, I was still trying to process all of this when my phone started to ring.
"Your moving!" my very concerned best friend screamed through the phone right once I answered.
"Cam, calm down! how did you even find out?"
"Your brother just tweeted about it!"
Leave it to Chris to just be very public about almost everything. He is probably bragging to all of his football buddies right about now.
"Tell me it's not true! you can't leave! you can move in with me!"
Obviously Cam was upset. By this point she was shouting into the phone. I had to hold it away from my ear so I don't go deaf.
" Literally five minutes ago my parents told me that we're moving to North Carolina I would move in with you! but my parents would never let me stay behind."
Cam let out a deep sigh through the phone. I could tell she was upset, we had been best friends since the third grade.
"When are you leaving?
"Three days"
"Huh, looks like I'm spending the next three days with you!"

I woke up the next morning, and Stretched my arms out. I rolled out of bed and looked into my mirror. My long brown hair was all tangled, and my green eyes a little puffy. I walked into the bathroom and washed my face. the cool water felt nice on my warm skin. I continued getting ready, I threw on a pair of yoga pants, with a white cami, a navi shrug and my black converse I then brushed out my hair, applied a layer of mascara and continued downstairs. I have never been one for loads of make up, my parents respected me for that. Most probably because I didn't look like those cake faced sluts driving around there little ladybug cars. I grabbed an apple and me and Chris walked out the door to head off to school.
There was a silence in the car as my brother drove. I glanced over at him. Chris was tall, tan with dark hair and eyes. I was about 5'4 and was tanned as well. people could always tell we were siblings. As a child, I would always get upset when people told me I looked just like my brother. But now I have just grown accustomed to it.

It was the last day of school, Cam spent the whole weekend at my house, which mean today was my last day here in Vancouver.
"Niki!"
I turned to face a certain blonde haired boy, right once I turned round he wrapped his arms around me, giving me a great big bear hug.
"Colton, I can't breath!"
"You can't go niki! who else am I going to practice my soccer skills with" he said slightly joking.
I pulled back looking into Colton's brown eyes, he looked upset. I have known the guy since birth. I have been friends with him longer then I have Cam. he was one of my best friends and I was really going to miss him
~~~~~
By the end of the day I revived about a million hugs. Cam and Colton did not leave my side all day. they even took me for ice cream afterwards.
Colton pulled up to the little ice cream parlor that we have been coming to for years. I got my usual chocolate peanut butter, while Cam got vanilla and Colton got cherry. Once we all got our cones we found a table at the back
"I still can't believe your moving" cam exclaimed in between licks of her ice cream cone. Colton just nodded his head in agreement, as he had just stuffed his whole ice cream cone in his mouth. I just shrugged and continued to eat my cone.
"Hey! on the bright side! you might meet some cute country boys down there!" Cam said giving me a playful wink.
"I don't think so. Niki will never see someone ass attractive as me" Colton cut in, while flexing his muscles.
We all laughed as we tried to savor this moment together, as it will be our last moment all together for a while.
by the time I got home it was 5 o'clock. my house was already packed up, with a lot of stuff missing. man my parents worked fast.
"Hey! your home! can you help us bring these boxes into the garage?".
My dad said with a small smile on his lips, I could tell he was tired.
By the time we were finished I trudged up the stairs and fell onto my bed falling asleep almost instantly. I was up by 4 am the next morning. as we drove away from the house that was once ours, I felt very disappointed, almost like I lost a part of my life. Like a small piece of me died.
